MicroNokia staff was forced to buy their own product? I can believe in that.
But I will never believe that consumer will choose MicroNokia over iPhone or Android or even Blackberry, that have way more impressive hardware and a software.

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2011Erm no, personally i can't stand android and if Nokia ever ... moreI agree. Used to be an Android fan but now I don't like it. Windows Phone is nice and simple and I don't need all that ridiculous customisation. Within the next year Microsoft will release the Apollo update which will bring dual core, higher screen resolutions, etc. Can't wait to see what Nokia does once that update is out. By then, hopefully my contract will be up and I'll be able to get a new phone.
On a side note, the previous article stating that the Lumia 800 would do badly in sales was obviously said way too soon. It was only just released and they immediately made prediction it wouldn't sell well. To bad the consumers ruined your day.

It's too expensive... I think the price should be lower in order to compete with other smartphones. :-)

Too bad that WP7.5 is locked-in useless dumbphone firmware lacking basic features. Old Symbian devices had much more functionality and much better battery life. Shame on Nokia.

It's called creating hype. By saying that everybody wants something, it tingles the "I must have it as well" sense in people. By keeping the numbers secret a company can basically create hype for any of their devices. In my opinion, "Sorry, I'm so popular I've run out" -notes are a bit too cheesy way to create hype, even so that it tingles my "Counter-attack on recent news" sense.
Maybe someone credible should go and check from these shops what they'll give you as an estimated time of delivery when you actually place an order.
We know nothing but one thing for sure: WP now has to atleast appear to sell for Nokia as well as for Microsoft.

samintosh, 24 Nov 2011Only Android can save Nokia. If Nokia and Google create a p... moreErm no, personally i can't stand android and if Nokia ever jumped on that bandwagon i'd go back to Apple. Windows Phone is much newer, yet I already prefer it. Give it a year and it will be able to do everything the other leading platforms can.

They are only stating whats happening in 2 markets, UK and Netherlands. What about Germany or Italy or France ? Exactly, they're failing miserably there. How about in Asia and Africa. Again, nothing. Nokia is trying to build hype saying how well this phone is selling. But the truth is that its only selling small quantities (and only because they're giving away a free xbox with each nokia lumia).

Don't know what to beleive about the sales figures and news reports, especially with all the Microsoft haters out there.
All I know is that I had an iphone for 2 years, switched to andriod for 6 months and am now using a WP7.
I like the WP7 the best for functionality and ease.
I found that the andriod was just way too complicated
to do simple tasks and was pretty slow which was surprising as it was the latest galaxy (likely becuase I installed some "bad apps" or something).
I liked the iphone's interface and it was speedy. Just didn't like how everyone had one and how many apple crazies are out there.
WP7 is just as fast as the iphone and just works for everything I need it for.
I hope Nokia can make it work for WP7 because I can see in a year or two, with a couple more updates, the WP7 interface could be the best out there

So for all guys who said Nokia Lumia is not well equipped the above statement answers them...
I am not a fan of Nokia, but I encourage the way Nokia follow the standards.
Although Android is having high boom in market still Nokia wants to create it's own different standard in the market trying for new thing not like all other companies..

As much as I am happy to hear that it's selling well, I am almost certain it due to low supply. Carriers are always cautious when getting new products, specially from Nokia and since this is their first Windows Phone device too.
That being said, I am glad that people are finding Windows Phones as real competitors.
Note: I'd love GSMArena.com to replace their aging commenting system with something modern like Disqus. Thank you.

What about 3rd party medical apps for wp7??? I own an N8 right now, and in spite of being a wonderful phone and awesome camera, I am frustrated with lack of any medical apps on s^3. Same here for WP7 now. Lets see, as it is going to be a major deciding factor for my next change.
