[deleted post]With all due respect, I doubt getting a free Xbox 360 is the main push for Lumia's popularity. There's no denying it's design is lusted and the word unibody attracts consumers. What about advertisments? Doesn't that factor in to the popularity on Lumia? And what about saturation. For the last 2 years it's been all about Android and iPhone, I'm pretty sure the average Joe doesn't want to be average anymore, and the Lumia is anything but average.

those analysts are presumably paid by Google/Apple for black marketing. Continuosly spreading rumors about Nokia !
Or do you have any other logical explanation that Nokia is that far under-represented in the US market despite highly appreciated in the rest of the world?
Thats simply (WTO banned) protectionism what those US phone providers do.

Well it is pretty obvious from the amount of comments to this and the that last "analyst" post that Lumia 800 is certainly drawing amazing amount of attention :)

This analyst is an idiot. He obviously predicted numbers that were too high. He was trying to look all cool and smart if nokia hit those numbers and say he was the only one who got it write. But he got it wrong and has achieved the opposite. Nokia phones are selling and are STILL going to sell, and when they release 4G LTE, dual core, HD-screened phones next year with the next windows phone operating system update, fustrated android users (because of lack of regular updates and security patches) will migrate. Sure ,RIGHT NOW, I wouldn't buy a windows/nokia phone because, thanks to sites like gsmarena I'm a hardware nut. But I'm a patient man I'll wait for next year for the kick-ass windows phones, compare it to the galaxy 3 (hopefully coming in March-ish) and make my decision. I don't believe even those analysts that predict that windows will overtake android in the near future, but a huge chunk of android users, and even iphone users, will look for another option when fustration mounts over security issues and a longing for quality MS office competibility. The sky is the limit for windows and nokia, and don't be impressed by these numbers this is only the beginning (because if u are to look at all the analysts predictions they all predict growth for nokia and windows, unlike RIM, etc). Stop bad-mouthing windows phone just to prove android or ios is better, the figures that will come quaterly next year will cause ya'll to eat a massive dose of humble pie, THEY WILL IMPRESS.

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2011lol some of u just dont get it;~)))) winphone wont fail bec... moreTo an extent I agree and I also condone a 3 way eco system, between WP7.5/8, IOS and Android ICS, but about power issues that's the way WP is going next year by adapting a multi-core OS. Better overall for gaming, multitasking and media related apps.

Things happen in a week. why not their sales? why hate the company if their product(s) is(are) sold out?
N9 or Lumia800 is on top of my Christmas wishlist.

I bought mine on launch day at Phones4U Manchester and it seemed to be doing really well. I actually overheard one of the sales team saying:
'Those Lumias are absolutely flying off. We should be called Nokia4u'

Really good to see this actually...
This can only benefit us all with a new OS coming into the mix...
And this isn't even Nokia's flagship model (that will presumably be next year now)...
Windows OS is too rigid / boring for me...
But wrapped up in a nice looking handset? I can see why it'd be popular...
Fingers crossed M$ lift their restrictions on specs next year, so that Windows phones can start competing with Android / iOS...

Nokia N800 Look Great , Specs Great... I hope WP7 Is Good As I Never Used It Before.
Believe It Or Not I Wish This Phone Is Running Meego OS As Nokia N9... Most websites Said Nokia N9 Meego Better Than Android , Just Missing A Lot Of Apps... I Don't Know What The Point Of So Many Apps When All You Need Is Few?
I Think Nokia N9 Is My Next Nokia Phone To get After Nokia N8 Which I am Happy To Use So Far & Waiting For Belle, Just Wanna Change My Nokia 8800 To Bigger & Better Phone.

I think Nokia & windows are getting a feel of the smart phones market.
are they considering Lumia as the savior?! dont think so. both companies can afford some cash loss before they start the actual war like some windows mobile officials said (the war has not started yet)
