              Pretty much means, that those 4 are actually 1 pixel, when you snap a photo. Interpolation, in this sense, is software rendering to emulate pixels as they were regular Bayer pixels. Have you compared 40mp P20 Pro/Mate 20 pro shots vs Nokia 808 38 mp shots? Difference is staggering.

                Just as Sony did...
                Now Sony Mobile is nowhere...instead of evolving their own style further, they just became an expensive copycat, so called "in the trend" brand, one out of dozens.

                  It's the sole reason why iPhones are still being picked up despite their very strict OS.
                  New handy feature?? It can be had in the Play Store.
                  Camera updates are OEM-dependent, as they have the control over it.
                  The XZ2 Premium is pretty much destroying every other smartphone cameras out there, it feels like it doesn't even need any new update to improve its image quality, but they still provided one for it.

                  The so-called "boring" feature of Sony's OS named 'LDAC' is now part of Android's settings, and with the rise of wireless audio, every phone that has it will surely have an amazing sound experience with it.

                      If space is an issue, they might only include the monochrome sensor on the Premium while the XZ4/Compact will only get the single 48MP Quad Bayer sensor.
                      Sony might be retiring their 19MP sensor to the XA series, which means we can finally enjoy 720p@960fps super slow motion videos at a cheaper price!

                        16:9 screen and no notch.
                        Device fully FAT with hardware goodness, including a trillion or so antennas for supreme LTE and Wi-Fi performance second to none in the Android world.
                        4K is native, unlike the previous 2017 model.
                        Ooooops, my XZ1 is also getting the Pie update as I'm typing this (not that I care about which Android I'm running).

                          I am expecting a XZ4 Premium, or wtever it will be called, with:
                          4k but all FHD capable lcd nonedged and noncurved 5,5 inch max 16:9 screen,
                          a 3500-3800 maH battery,
                          advanced Aube Duo Camera setup,
                          Some new exclusive feature like for ex PlayStation Now streaming,
                          a headphone jack/ or second USB C for headphones port,
                          newest SoC with 4 GB ram, and 64 gb rom,
                          metal build with decent bezels like on XZ2/XZ3,
                          and a side fp/power button, or inscreen one,
                          for a decent 600 euro price.

                          But I wont get that...
                          cause Sony is stupid trendfollowing copycat expensive brand now, with evermore declining sales, and no light at the end of the tunnel.

                            You have to commend for what Sony support to their phones. Definitely prefer Sony rom than boring stock rom.

                            Unfortunately, in my country, due to bad sales in XZ2 & XZ2 premium, no XZ3 launch here. And no guarantee in the future.

                                But seriously, this year Sony made a bad strategy by outs 3 flagship phones in a year. It should be no XZ3, only XZ2 & XZ2 premium (use XZ3 design & launch time, but use the dual camera). I always love Sony phone but as for now, their future is uncertain, hopes for the best.

But I doubt they will do that, assuming that it should be reserved for the XPERIA XZ3 PREMIUM (as the more "professional" model), so the normal XPERIA XZ4's camera will probably still have a 1/2.3" sensor size, going by their tradition for past smartphones

                                      Sony's curved OLED screen has been more useful than anyone else had, but even themselves find it pretty insignificant and irrelevant.
                                      XZ4 will get rid of it and go back to traditional high-quality OLED screens that could give Super AMOLED a massive downfall.
