We’ve been seeing some extra hardware codenames and this could be the culprit!

Just buy a truly affordable Android One phone instead, there's no point to get this, if the price isn't under $300 or $250.

I mean there's already many Android One phones out there with a bit of OEM's own skin ( like Nokia) or xiaomi A1 and A2 ( A2 lite) which doesn't even have xiaomi skin but just 1 or 2 xiaomi's own apps.

And they all works great.

      Trust me, this would cost $750 to compete with Apple's "budget" iPhone XR.
      Crazy as it sounds, it is possibly true, considering it would offer a similar camera experience as the Pixel 3/XL, which means a flagship grade camera hardware, as well as the fact that the Snapdragon 670 is just some margin short of being a flagship performer.
      There's a 3.5mm jack?? Now there's no doubt it would cost that much.

        People at Google are too stupid to make the right call w.r.t hardware specs/design.
        LOL 32GB in 2019(when released?) ...

          Still it won't sell. Unless pricing it cheaper than Xiaomi.

            better the price is under $ 400. because IPS display, SD 670, 32GB without microsd slot. Xiaomi please read this!! What do you think?

                32gb... would have been a massive seller imo if it had 128gb.. to get nexus users to upgrade

This phone is d... moreMy old Xperia M4 Aqua with 8GB was dead in advance because you couldn‘t even install every app update available when it was out of the box. 32GB, however, is still fairly Liveable for many people. Photos and Videos use the most space, but I heard google has something where you can store all your photos in their cloud for free. If I had this on my 128GB iPhone and didn‘t keep tons of apps I never use on my phone, 32GB would also probably be enough for me, as my photos&videos already take up 12GB of my total used 57GB. And as I Just Said, I have 184 Apps installed even though I only use about 40 regularly ...

                            These companies don't understand basic technology. Headphone jacks on phones with low quality DAC equipped mid and low range processors and forced useless, glitchy USB/lightning dongles on their "premium" devices.
                            Are everybody but Samsung actively trying to kill music and media consumption on mobile?

                                Seems more like a "true" replacement to Pixel 1 Series & Nexus 5X / 6P because the 3.5mm jack is present as STANDARD. But I do hope Pixel 3 Lite has an OPTION to DISABLE GESTURES in favor of software navigation buttons just like Pixel 2 Series & Pixel 1 Series.

                                This shows that Pixel 2 Series should have KEPT the 3.5mm jack in the FIRST place given there is proof that the top has ENOUGH SPACE for that.

                                  32 GB internal memory ??????? is that a joke ..Google no one is going to buy ur mid ranger
