Many people don't like the notched form factor. Bring back the iPhone 8 next year with 5G and 2019 chipsets. Priced at $600 it should sell like the proverbial hotcake. I would then wait 3 years for the price to come down to £300, reducing by £100 in the 2 preceding years.

I went to store to see if its really a stunning phone as described by most review. And the answer is no. It doesn't look good, too wide and too much side bezel, i can accept top and bottom chin but not a 2mm bezel on each side. Single camera protrudes about 1.2mm, for 750USD. It may have all the X-series ability but the design is just not appealing and it looks cheap.

Tommy Chhangte, 22 Nov 2018Well said indeed. Apple's current business model is cle... moreDon't look for iPhone fans, there's not as many of them online and they're far less vocal than Android Fanboys. Especially when it comes to GSMArena, where the majority of commenters come from South Asia.

In terms of software support, Apple was really good but I have a *Spidey Sense* that they're going to get much worse very soon. The only reason to get an iPhone isn't going to be the software support and best hardware... they're shifting to passable hardware and flaky software. I think the primary reason to upgrade is going to be to stay in the iOS Ecosystem. Come back to this comment in 2020 to see if I was right.

I do believe the best way forward is to get a 1-year old Android flagship phone. Then upgrade that device up one model newer after 1 year. So that you're always behind the curve. However, the hardware will still be great and the software will be relevant. Not to mention it will be cheaper overall. I've deduced this method/upgrade-path only recently and I will stick to it myself.

It could work for iPhones as well, but perhaps it's better to start off with a flagship device that's 2-years old, and upgrade to Used ones every year, and selling off your old device immediately to recoup the costs.

Round these parts, people are trading in their X because of craptacular battery life. So either fix the sys optimizations OR combine that to a 5000mAh battery is the only way to go.

Not just a reissue with the same price tag.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2018"Restore iPhone X production". Wow, that speaks volumes. A... moreI also suspect recent iPhone X replacement program could have contributed in a big way due to various major issues including screen - chin attachment unresponsive issue.

I am keeping my iPhone 7 it will last another 2 years. screen is clear, photos great but miss headphone jack that you have. These newer phones may load a game 2 seconds faster but so what just ignore Apples super hype every year when your basically staring at the same screen.

Apple, please reduce the price of all your iPhone 8, 8 Plus, XR, XS and XS Max. Besides that please phase out your iPhone XS or XS Max with a single nano sim and a single e-sim. Not every country support e-sim. I would suggest you release the physical dual sim slots for all your iPhone if you want to get more sales. Your price is ridiculously steep. Reduce yournproce and stay with competitive pricing likes your Android competitor.

"Restore iPhone X production". Wow, that speaks volumes. Apple clearly is in PANIC mode. It's losing prestige and its image of luxury and superiority. Just 4 months ago (before the release of the XS, XS Max and XR trio), Apple actually mentioned stopping iPhone X production. Now it's ramping up production of older models (iPhone 8, 8 plus and X).

Today, people just buy whichever laptop that meets their requirement in terms of price, spec etc..No one cares if it is Sonia VAIO, Lenova, MacBook Pro, Surface Pro, HP, Dell, MSI, Razor.....it just became a commodity, no more lifestyle statement it used to be few years back.

It will be usable for at least two more years and will get security as well as software updates. I am not so sure that cheap android phones will get this treatment. Thats why i am sticking with apple. My point, you do not have to spend 1000 bucks to get yourself an usable apple device...

For me personally i really liked iphone XS or X, XSmax and my iphone is really old and i'm planning on buying new one, also major reason to buying new phone is those new 7nm chips are looking real good. But iphone xs/x/max are way too damn expensive, where i live iphone X is 1350USD, iphone XS is 1450$ iphone XS Max is 1950 USD, that is ridiculous. I've considered OnePlus 6t but display quality was garbage. My current phone is Galaxy Note 4 and display is way more better than Onpleus 6t. So OnePlus 6t is no longer an option.

i think apple should learn from this mistake,....they think 'their brand' is more powerful than the product it self. But the Business is already change,...people now days not just look 'brand' but the product spec itself along with the price tag.

Next day, Apple will push an update to completely disable all obsolete iPhones - iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, 6, 6s, 6 plus, 6s plus, 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus. This will force all the people to buy the new and overpriced iPhones solving the sales issue and breaking the revenue record again. LOL

Apple needs to get out of there Comfort Zone and be more open minded.
