They just stopped cannibalising own sales even though many people like the small form factor from apple. Apple if you read this I want to upgrade to a small phone, not to a big one!

Android manufacturers have not made appealing small phones and that is only their fault, not customers who got better specs from Apple in under 400 dollar price range with iPhone SE.

If Htc came with 4 inch smartphone with all latest and greatest specs at the time of release and supported it for 5 years like Apple is doing sure I would pay up to 500 dollars for that device. If it has any drawbacks there is no reason for anyone to care and that is the current state of HTC, nobody cares when they dont care to copy best aspects from Apple.

And next yesr we will hear more of tge same. Worst financial years in history of 2019 and upcoming liquidation, tell me something new? :)))

Htc one V and one m8eye was my best phone ever, the companies should return old DNA. Dual boom speaker metal body and unique design.

The measurements of color temperature, contrast and delta are better than iphone 8+. The issue is the battery management, because even setting low brightness (u11+ barely pass 400 nits) they last less than other phones.

The u11+ was supposed to score at least 88h on gsma test

Just like Sony/Ericsson, HTC just haven't been able to recover at all. Pretty sad.

To be honest, I'm always rooting for HTC. Their U12+ wasn't necessarily bad but it lacked a number of needed features.

This next phone could be the same but with a 4,500 mAH battery, better LCD display (should outsource from BOE or Sony for this one; 2K is still fine), wireless charging, and have more global LTE bands because the U12+ was only good for a select number of markets. Even the ZTE's Axon 9 Pro has global stuff; INCLUDING the outdated CDMA. This phone should even be Fi-certified to really show it's ready for any carrier.

The idea of a second phone instantly triggers my mind to an HTC One A as an Android One phone that marks the return of the HTC One series phone as a 5.3" 18:9 ratio phone with a 3,400 mAH battery, 1080p display, dual front-facing stereo speakers, headphone jack, IR Blaster (it's cheap), FM Radio (also cheap), made of aluminum, dual rear cameras with a single selfie cam, Snapdragon 660 or 710, and ALSO global LTE bands (imaging using this on GoogleFi as well).

HTC can do it. Heck, I don't even mind if they pull a Doogee and crowd-fund the phones. Plenty of people would get 'em. They both just have to be priced competitively.

Lol. Yeah some companies won't give up, till they get bankruptcy through the bank.

Ahh, I love the cucks of this community here. Every single HTC posts are either mourning, hatred until it dies and specs wishlist. Why are they like this? Well, I'm glad the grandpa innovators of HTC are still making phones. I wish HTC U13 would end HTC with a bang as 2019's Phone of the Year awardee.

But yeah, I hope that wish of mine won't lead to something like Squaresoft and Final Fantasy where the supposed final product would be the one to revive the company and make more of these.
