I wonder what the versions of these would be called.
Are they still going to use cookies and delights naming scheme (KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, etc.) or a new one?

Android OS founded by Andy Rubin would be pi**ed off if he saw how his creation which was meant to be OPEN SOURCE is being thrown away to the dumpster by Google's CHEAP INDIAN SC***ER CEO Sundar Pichai in favor of CLOSED SOURCE, CONTROLLED, SPYING Fuchsia OS. Fuchsia OS will have GESTURES (with NO OPTION of CHANGING launchers) instead of already easy-to-use hardware / software buttons for navigating the UI shoved to our throats.

Walter C. Dornez, 25 Nov 2018But doesn't it offer better regular and sustained performance? not even close. Like i said it's not ment to be the fastest OS, it's ment to be the most compatible of all, desktops, laptops, tvs, cars, smartphones, tablets, etc.
with time it could be faster but never will be as fast as a OS that have dedicated code to especific hardware.
You will still have a smooth navigation when it will be ready, and processores at that time will be even faster, How fast a processor needs to be so you can stop looking at processor speed and search somewhere else to be improved? I stopped watching speed processors at A10 on IOS and SD820 on Android.
I've both android and ios devices, and I hate to browse on my ipad vs android. back button on top of my device and in android on botton where my finger is. I can navigate/change settings, etc 10x faster on android than ios, even if iOS on paper wins on benchmarks...

A locked down version of android that is presenting efficiency as the reason behind launching it. The real reason is of course control. A bit what Apple already achieved with her projects.
Google is turning real evil real fast. Pretty much everything she does the last few years are evil.
(Killing android for tablets so that to introduce the heavily locked Chrome OS instead, heavily controlled content on YouTube, the constant spying, now this)

Walter C. Dornez, 24 Nov 2018Hopefully it blitzes iOSdon't count on that, fuchsia is ment to be compatible to Multiple different devices, so it will never be as fast as iOS that have dedicated code to especific hardware.
Android had that problem and they worked hard to close that gap, Fuchsia is years behind the speed of android or ios.
saying this, the most important thing that people neglate usually because they don't have a clue is UI/UX, and fuchsia in that department should kick some a*s.
if you like benchmarks, fuchsia is not for you.
if you like a good navigation, best decisions where menus/buttons should be and how to take advantage of the hardware with the less amount of time, fuchsia should be an easy win.

It was just a processor compatibility test though. They may also do this with Exynos, MediaTek, and Snapdragon. It's not kind of Google trusting the project to Huawei.
