Much Better if they focus on Upgrading its Performance rather than the Camera ..
No Matter what Phone is that .
Still DSLR Camera are the best for Photo shooting Graphics .
Speaking of Phone's Camera's they are not enhancing the Lens "ITS JUST THE FILTER"

From crazy to scary.
Soon whole back of the phone will be full of cameras.
I dont want even to imagine how much this would cost to make.
Even a basic specs phone would cost several hundreds or thousdants.

Symbian at that time was the most advanced system of them all. Even now, a lot of it's futures are not surpassed: nativ 41 mpx camera support and that with just 512 mb RAM. Do that with android!. True task manager, still not seeing it; support for multi CPU enviroment. Pureview had one cpu dedicated just for the camera. Hdd support. Yes nokia N91 had a 4 GB HDD integrated with fallsafe support from the system. And this are just the small stuff, not to talk about NO privacy concern, no company with ability to steal your data. If that system would have been further developed we would have now talked about mobile pc's for pocket with call future. But yeah, was never a system for the sheep mass, was actually made for people who also know how to use a device and was not made easy for every m'''n to understand it.

xxl, 27 Nov 2018not really in a thin phones, also if you separate field of ... moreyes really in thin phones, not quite as thin as current phones, but no reason why we cant make a 10mm thick camera centric phone with super sized battery, i mean, the nokia pureview still holds it own and beats many phones even now with image quality, its only the flagships it can no longer beat, and thats an 8year old phone, the average thickness was around 9mm in 2012, and nokia was 16mm at the camera end, we now have phones with 4.75mm thickness, with the average being around 7.5mm, there is no reason why we cant fit a sensor of the same size into a modern smartphone with modern software and tricks, and it be an absolute monster compared to the competition

Instead of 16 cameras (which are likely to still be inferior to the Pixels, Galaxies and Iphones, why not work on increasing battery size? Work on the basics and do a better job of marketing.

LG comes with creative ideas and puts in too. But I don't know why don't they do marketing for their product. They created some great devices which were better in their times.

Poma, 27 Nov 2018One big sensor is always better than 16 tiny sensorsnot really in a thin phones, also if you separate field of view of cameras you get more Mp with bigger sensor overall, just counting in separate fov of sensors. You could easily make camera thats hi res enough, while having 4um pixels, or 80mp camera - iif not practical in full res, could be at least used to bring forth higher true color resolution 20mp /5mp with quad bayer. 40mp camera of p20pro/mate20pro got 2,5Mp if counting pixels with all colors without additional computing magic. Also such sensor would have awesome stabilisation when zoomed in. Imagine that.
Its different from pelikan imaging approach using same fov, though if fov of its cameras would be wide enough they could use at least 2 sensors per output pixel or half bayer...
