Love new ideas, Go LG. But how long before huawei or someone do a 25 camera setup 5x5 and 2 speakers on the back and 2 on the front for even wider sound. And a 4 pin hole camera 2x2 setup on the front for impressive selfies.
or 2 pin hole cameras on the front one top left one top right for amazing ultra wide selfies. Hope it wont be too long i want one. Go make these NOW

What about wide angle distortion?
Each camera might have to be at least 50 degrees in 35mm equivalent...
And what about autofocus coordination, and different distances?
And the last line just makes this whole article look like sarcasm...

LOL, wow Genius! How could we have thought about it?
Why is it a part of the patent drawing anyways?
LG, creative idea, but be 200% sure of the implementation......

Why are we not trying to put a bigger sensor into phones? Am I right in saying that the Nokia pureview still has the biggest sensor in a smartphone to date? And that was almost 8 years ago.....with all these new camera setups, there is so much space being used for gimmicky features that it just seems pointless, rather then innovate it seems the mobile industry is just constantly repeating old tech, pureview was a beast camera in a poor frame and weak and slow software, put a new sensor of the same size with modern software tweaks and in an updated model and that thing would eat the competition in photography terms at least, it wouldn't even be that thick, by comparison, I would take a thicker 10mm phone with a huge sensor and a 5000mAh battery any day

Pelican Imaging was a separate company. Nokia Growth Partners was *said to invest* in Pelican, so not really Nokia the cellphone manufacturer and not acquire either.
Instead Tessera Holding Corporation (now Xperi Corporation) acquired Pelican Imaging's tech assets and patent portfolio in 2016.

I guess now Samsung and Huawei will respond with 20...
