Once a $1 trillion company, Apple struggles with sales of its latest smartphones while Microsoft’s subscription based software and cloud service business add value to the company.

Sony and Microsoft will definitely not bring any console this year and there is huge question mark if they will release next year. Most likely 2020

    1. So Mac users are not really affected even if game developers choose not to make a MacOS version. And with nowadays eGPU support, sure they can game.
    2. Serious gamers invest in powerful custom rigs, and whats the only OS they can use? Windows.. so game developers target these groups.

    Besides... WHY are you equating GAMING = BEST OS?
    MacOS is good for the following reasons:
    1. Most flexible OS, can virtualise all known OS and apps.
    2. Software Developers can run virtually every known IDE.
    3. Free with upgrades so long as you have a Mac.
    4. Multitask / Productivity features such as mission control.
    5. Time machine backup / restore.

      Two things I want from apple: Lower their prices. and atleast have an option for android.

I like to make this up but I feel that 40% of the Windows users are Gamers while I ignore the 60% since they're just businessmen. It's better to #GameOn than to buy a Mac just to be a social climbing narcissistic person like the thots on Facebook and Twitch.

            Ahh, where it rightfully belongs. It's no excuse that macOS are ignored by a majority of game developers because that OS and the hardware components that comes with the run of the mill Macs doesn't have the firepower to run games. Windows 10 is the best when I only focus on gaming; I don't need the other features I never heard of or demand any features from them. As long as I game, it's good.

            Linux for gaming is highly feasible because of Valve (they may have stopped making games after Artifact but they haven't stopped innovating in gaming) but I'm always turned off by the supreme complexities of Linux like is Ubuntu the Windows Ultimate version or is it Wine?

                I read the report... Apple whose 25% down two days ago and it will continue to sunk so soon other's will surpass it too.

                      I have used Microsoft software for all my life and windows is getting worse and is essentially the same buggy mess without any new features. Not sure what's changed for the end user from Windows Vista to Windows 10.

                      Office is the same thing with the same frustrating bugs

                      Xbox ruined the gaming scene.

                              They need to make proper mobile os. The windows mobile os they tried was total bullshit... the tiles was the most annoying part of it. And they tried to make and sell hardware, which is never going to work with software giants...

                              Yes we need an alternative to android but a comoetitive one. What they did was all crap. Bill gates needs to put his attention here... ita been too long he's left microsoft on auto pilot

                                    Microsoft is a better company than Apple by any means, so I'm happy to hear this.

                                    It's really unfortunate that Windows Phone OS failed commercially. It was a good balance between iOS's security & Android's customizability.

                                    I hope Microsoft will launch a more proper version of their Windows Mobile OS down the road. Android is heading into the wrong direction so we might need an alternative soon.
