Tip: If you don't to want to carry a big DSLR and yet you want to take great pictures of urban landscape, nice portaits, others... and with better quality picture that any smartphone, buy an APS-C o Micro 3/4 small camera, a good one is the Fujifilm X100T or the Panasonic GM5, a cheaper and great option is the Sony A6000 with the small 16-50mm lens.

Shame that more than 80% of the population follow these marketing tactics and falls for them. People with brains don't need marketing to tell them what to buy

umeshk, 04 Dec 2018This is known since a decade. Then the cameras were so poor... moreTrue. We old folks know its fake. Who is still naive enough to believe it came from the phone. All phone ads even on tvs are not real. Take note kids. ALL I said. Just like those shampoo ads. Their silky smooth bouncy flowy hair is not real.

I think that demostrating a feature on this kind of photo isn't an issue as long as they don't say that it was taken by that particular phone.

androfox, 04 Dec 2018Sony does the same thing, no promo-photo looks alike those ... moreWhat Sony Mobile posts on Twitter you clearly see that is from phone because the defaul setting is 16:9 photo.
By the DoF it is impossible to be a camera.
For your information A7R III is the current best high resolution camera, better than the Nikon D850.
A7 III is the best seller among all full frame.
Most of TV channels of the planet use Sony videocamera.

I don't see what's the problem. In the bottom of webpage there's written that "The contents within the screen are simulated images and are for demonstration purposes only."
Nowhere is written that these pictures are taken using phones camera

Stop blaming Samsung or other for stuff like this. Large companies outsource PR/Marketing campaigns to 3rd parties. So it will end up on the desk of some bimbo intern with a failing arts degree at best.

it's clearly that the DOF shows that this photo was taken by a DSLR... because it's impossible to any smartphone camera to present that would produce such DOF....
so samsung and huawei are in the same boat! trolling people... and this is a midrange not even a flagship! lol

Sadly it's the fault of the marketing people here. Those people would sell their mothers if they knew that would bring them profit.
Marketing people have no clue about technology or how to use it, but they all know that they need money and they have to do their best to promote a product with very little cost. They will cheat with every chance they have and this applies to any brand, especially the chinese.
They can't even tell the difference between an android phone and an iphone, yet they are the ones promoting the product.
NEVER listenen to marketing people. All they know is that they want your money.
