This is why I'm sticking with Sony. At least they respect their customer and wouldn't do such things. Although, to be fair, I'd expect such practices from Chinese manufacturers and not Korean but alas, I stand corrected and surprised.

you guys really believe all the pictures used in ads were taken by the device? Nah, I never believe it, those pics was intended for illustration only, although some of the ads gives notes claiming the pictures/images are taken by the device I'm still hard to believe that.

Shui8, 04 Dec 2018Everytime. This goes to every smartphone company. People... moreWe all know it does, it's just the comical reaction we see in these comments when its Samsung vs. when it is a Chinese OEM that is caught. Had this been a Xiaomi, Oppo or Huawei there would be endless rants about Chinese OEMs.

Dont worry, there will be an article like this soon about a Chinese OEM, you will see the regular crowd that come and spew their racist nonsense on anything Chinese.

This happened to Nokia in the past and people lost their collective minds (They shot video with a stabilised camera and not on their phone). I hope people will lose their collective minds at Samsung for this, now.

AnonF-85937, 04 Dec 2018Makes you wonder how many more times they have done this. Everytime.

This goes to every smartphone company. People should know how marketing works in reality.

I don't care if they try to cheat on advertisements.
The only thing I care about is how the advertised product performs in real life, and how close it is to how the manufacturer described it.

I wouldn't even care if they use NASA cameras for taking these pictures, as long as the phone itself DOES deliver the same exact image quality as the advertised picture does.
In this case, it does not.

Is this advertising photo or reviewing photo? They could use stock photo to explain their functions of course.
