But what about the speaker positions, don't want a speaker that is bottom facing.
2 front facing speakers is the only way to go for me since I watcg allot if videos and streams.
Super happy about the 3.5 mm jack

oh really.. That is why I am seeing many post of Samsung users/lovers in the Facebook - Samsung page/groups that their Samsung devices are having Screen Burn issues. One of the reasons Screen Burn occur is that having the screen brightness high or at max when necessary. What a great Super Amoled/Amoled screen. Yes, I do believe that Aesthetic is a must, but QUALITY is a must too. I'm not a Sony/Samsung lover/hater, but being practical for what you are paying for is very important when it comes to quality.

Sony and slim. Nice story but it will end as a story.

6/256 version is ready for my movies collection.
Waiting for a 21:9 in order not to see black bars.
If its price point and specs will be acceptable(Price/Quality ratio) then I am in.
If not, I am waiting for another 21:9 to come up. Because, black bars are acceptable in case I have to pay 500 USD extra, in order to have only 21:9 aspect ratio, regardless of other aspects.

Nice!
This seems to be best Sony for some time.
3.5mm plug comes back and the phone seems to be solid otherwice too.
Not bad at all.
There Also seems to be new compact mode com8ng, but it seems to be even bigger than XZ2 model... how ”compact” version can be even bigger than the previous? That is not right...

Dude you just can't see how unimportant it is.
Most Samsung and iPhone users I know don't even know, and probably don't even give a f* about them!
If you're using a smartphone based on its numbers, I pity you.
Real world usage matters more, as that will be how the phone will truly perform as people use it.
It's maybe because you're too jealous that people preferred Sony screens over some other inferior OLED panels that you like more, all without any bias towards a specific brand.
It's just like camera color preference. One phone takes more natural colors, the other saturates them to a different hue, and people will always usually prefer the latter, regardless of how much you convince me that the color accurate phone is better.
But I understand, it's coming from a hater like you, so I'm not surprised LOL

I saw many times sonyboys said things like "joled, jdi, igzo, jap oled screen is the best, korean oled screens have lower quality, sony will directly switch to microled, etc"
Now sony finally switch to:
"CHEAP LG SCREEN !!"
What a BIG ULTIMATE HUGE JOKE. LOL. Aaaahaahaahaah.

The most foolish statements i've ever heard.
But since it comes out from sonyboy's mouth.. well i can understand it. It's their habit.
Next time please wear your "rotation glass" first before writing any comments here. It'll help you.

60E[z], 06 Dec 2018LOL. Last time you saw me was last year? Wow.. are you miss... moreWell nah, I guess I'm just too popular here that I don't notice you anywhere near me before??
Okay, so let's analyze it.
1 - You said Sony WILL DIE in the next few years (around 2 to 3 years from that point), now you're changing it to SLOWLY DIE to sound correct.
The next time you're going to fool someone, make sure that that person really knows less than you do. In short, you can't fool anyone really.
But to answer, they did it as part of their new marketing strategy. They're shuttting them off until the division recovers completely enough to sustain the cost of running those stores. You'll see it in the future, just unpredictable as of now.
2 - Sony copied Samsung? In a way with the XZ3 it was somehow true, but only because people asked them to do it.
Samsung? They got the glass sandwich design idea and IP65/68 water resistance rating from Sony.
Now look at the memory-stacked Samsung ISOCELL sensor on the Note 9, and see how similar it is to the one year older Sony IMX400 sensor. How about the AR Stickers of the S9? Yep, Xperia Z already had similar features beforehand.
3 - Let's admit that they experimented only this year to some extent. It doesn't take away the fact that their devices are very reliable. Other brands also had similar tactics in the past. Samsung removed the water resistance and SD Card slot of the S5 on the S6, only to return it on the S7. Did that made Samsung also a no-vision brand??
XZ3 did look like a Galaxy. A BETTER Galaxy. It was just one time, and they might never do it again. It was definitely a mistake that no longer needs to be repeated.
XZ4 uses high quality screens from LG. AGAIN just because Pixel phones using LG screens had issues, doesn't guarantee that the same thing would happen to Sony phones.
Apple also uses LG screens, but why are the iPhones less susceptible to screen problems?
Manufacturing is one, manipulation is another. You kept bringing LG screen as a disadvantage, so I suggest why don't you give it a try first before speaking without any experience at all?

I never said anything about controlling people's decisions, because it was in fact you who are trying to force us to do the change that you did, in which I said we aren't supposed to follow your path and more options is always better.
Would you mind explaining how you understand it? It wasn't even a challenge to the mind to fully understand it

Yann, 06 Dec 2018If returning of 3.5mm jack is true, this is another proof t... moreLet's say they did copy Samsung with the XZ3's design.
Most people wanted this kind of aesthetic, and Sony just listened to the customers like what we wanted them to do.
They did this thing even better than Samsung themselves, but now they figured out how impractical it really is in reality.
That's why they're getting rid of it now on the XZ4 and returning back to what their main design cue really is.
Now that Sony sounds like having fixed their issues, I can't believe people could still find faults, but I'm not surprised anymore.
Sony Xperia phones are really that good, that they nitpick literally on even the smallest of things.

That Sony should've had a notch or hole this time? Used a much slower screen-embedded fingerprint reader? Put 12GB RAM inside but perform worse than 3GB RAM on iPhones? Removed the jack and not offer the 3.5mm jack dongle in the box? Do not include a Fast Charger in the box?
This phone nailed everything people would want in a smartphone. It's hard to notice due to lack of media coverage, but once discovered, it would be a huge hit.

People judged based on what they see in actual. F* the numbers when they don't really mean that much in life.
Are you going to be nuts and go on streets, telling everyone "Hey, my phone has the best display according to DisplayMate, with 0 maximum DeltaE!"??
People liked the XZ3's display the most. End of discussion.
You can shove up to your throat those numbers that can be achieved also on Sony screens if tweaked accordingly.
Color blind or not, it doesn't matter. The thing is that the majority finds Sony screens to be their most preferred ones.

Just make the entire screen BurnIn.... moreSince you've said it, why don't you do it on your Samsung phone instead??
Last time I was deeply checking, I failed to find a Xperia XZ3 with burn in problems LOL.
Burn in of OLEDs on LG and Pixel phones don't guarantee the same thing to happen on Sony phones.
