something stran... moreBecause at that size, it's impractical to have dual or triple large sensors. They can do it, but at the cost of a dinky small battery capacity, or extreme thickness (may even get beyond 15mm in thickness).

Seeing people comment on the thickness makes me smile a lot! You know, if you make a phone slimmer, you have to make it wider and taller. That is because of the overall phone mass required to fit the components in. I have xz2c and am happy with it. Thickness is absolutely fine as is the overall ratio.
The only thing I see wrong with this phone is that it for bigger again. This will not be compact any more as some other manufacturers already do similar sizes. If Sony wants to keep the phone compact, do not make the phone taller. Make it thicker to fit pretty good baterry and components.

It's so stupid to believe in the legitimity of this 3CAD render (made in 5 minutes)...
It's impossible to sell a such old design nowadays..even if Sony has made some error by the past.

I am still rocking my Z5C, and honestly I don't like XZ2C. I always wished there was a modernized version of my Z5C with newer CPU, more RAM&storage, better camera and, desing-wise, the same device. And this answers all of my requests, if true. Please stop saying "noone will buy it", instead just say "I won't buy it" then I will respect your opinion

Design looks dated... but alas, it happens to be one of the few compact flagship of late, so it has that going for it. Also if it retains the headphone jack, then that's another selling point.
Overall, it looks decent enough.
