I did hear about the drug trafficker who's sentence was changed drastically after the arrest of Huawei cfo.
Pretty coincidental!

For all you Huawei fans believing they are not tied in with the chinese government, why would the Chinese arrest and detain a Canadian diplomat who has nothing to do with any of this and basically declare it's because we arrested a Chinese national due to being an extradition country.
Keep on thinking that Huawei is innocent in all of this.

iComent, 10 Dec 2018Since when Hong Kong got independence from China and not pa... moreSince the first Opium Wars, when Britain invaded and seized the island city.
Then it was the WW2 Japanese.
Then it was the British again.
And finally the 1997 treaty of "one country, two systems".
There's a very good reason why most immigrants from Hong Kong do not tell you that they are Chinese, they actually say they are "Hongkonese". History is history, and yes geography is funny whichever way you look at it.

Perhaps the encryption for 5G is unsafe or unstable for it first launch, so we can understand why most of the country avoid the risk of spying.

iComent, 10 Dec 2018A little geography correction for you - France, Germany, Sw... moreYes, but I don't need the correction. I purposely made that "error", because saying Western Europe would've meant including the likes of Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece etc etc which are not as important as the likes of France, Germany, and Scandinavian markets.
And Hong Kong isn't China.
They have their own laws, their own economy, their own citizenship, their own seats in international committee, their own passports, and they even have their own currency. Do they have close ties, sure. But that doesn't make them China.
It would be exactly like calling Canada a part of The United States of America.
But none of this matters when talking about Huawei trying to take over the telecommunications infrastructure demographic, and having to get pushed out from the English-nations. If they're unlucky, Huawei might only win in the likes of Asia (excluding Japan, South Korea, India, Russia, Israel, UAE)... but there's a lot more going on in the background than you and I lead to believe.
