Wow.. so many dead pixels... Are people going to pay for this just because the dead pixels form a perfect circle?

Shui8, 10 Dec 2018As usual, budget flagship from Honor after Mate 20 series l... moreSoC OR Camera? Poco says Hi.

Well, it's the first smartphone to use Sony's IMX586 48MP camera sensor alright, I wonder if future smartphones are going to use SAMSUNG's 48MP camera sensor too, if they're allowed to. I'm pretty sure the concept of using WiFi and 4G simultaneously isn't new, SAMSUNG had it on ANDROID 5.1.1 I think (I seriously hope that there isn't any blind SAMSUNG fanboy around anytime soon because of this, or because of the Infinity-O similarity). Damn HUAWEI, that's a bold claim and a bold take on the rear camera, only having one rear camera and it's a high megapixel one. I'm pretty skeptical regarding the low-light performance, even if it's having Quad Bayer color array and AI. But I digress

The camera looks completely trash, no arguments. Maybe because it's software is not final, or simply because Huawei is intentionally making it worse than Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro so that they can keep selling their flagship lineup. In theory there's no way that IMX586 could perform worse than IMX380 used for the main sensor of Mate 20 considering the difference in sensor size(1/2" vs 1/2.3") and more advanced technologies available on the former. 48MP shots are completely overprocessed, 12MP shots are OK but nothing spectacular.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2018You're blind then cos the night shots have little to no noise Agree. If that night shot is real, then its very impressive. Little to no noise there.

As usual, budget flagship from Honor after Mate 20 series launch, just like previous View 10.

Best camera still lives in Leica Mate 20 series though, as i seen on the View 20 sample the overblown highlight & overexposed on some parts.

Annnddd for the $400 pricing segment, no other mid range phone either their SOC or camera can come close to this View 20, at least that is the best part of it.

That's rich. No way this can beat a reflex camera. Pico sensors can only do so much, no amount of AI can change that.

Camera cutout should have been smaller

Camera is not impressive at all... Expected way more. Looks like a galaxy s5 photo resized in mspaint.

                          No specs!!
                          Pre-production unit!!?
This is clearly not to be considered as world's first in screen camera display!
They just wanted to desperately beat Samsung A8s.
