Vote now for the Best Phones of 2018

16 December 2018
There can only be one Best Flagship of 2018, it's time to decide. Same for the mid-range and entry-level categories.

I can't see any Apple phone? What am I missing?

After pocophone video, and then come this...
Xiaomi has 2 flagship to compete as the best phone 2018,
Mi8 explorer and Mi Mix 3, but GSMArena choose pocophone instead..

    I'll stop reading gsmarena again.

The chosen categories make no sense. A flagship phone is simply the best phone of a particular brands current line-up. As the F1 is the only phone of the new brand, it's automatically a flagship phone of that brand (absolutely nothing pretentious in that title) . Comparing a $1000 and a $300 phone in the same category simply because they are both the best from their respective brands makes absolutely no sense. It's like voting for a best phone that uses a butterfly in it's commercial. Or is anyone actually saying that people worry more about whether the phone is advertised as a 'flagship' than it's price? Maybe I am biased, but how can you have a best phones of the year comparison where Pocophone does not destroy the competition in at least one category?

If only some of Honor & Xiaomi phones are there, it'll be great. The more the merrier.

I came here to vote for the A8 2018 but i guess it was made in 2017

Shui8, 16 Dec 2018Which country u live in, man? Samsungland? Lol. Canada. Which is officially Apple territory with 60% of market share. Samsung has 20-30%, LG like 5%, and the rest is between BlackBerry, Google and Huawei. And this market is where the Google makes 10% of their whole Pixel line sales.

Huawei only sells the P20 line and only the M20 Pro. Nothing else. And you know I'd rather commit suicide than using a notched phone. Midrange options are pretty inexistant. A8, Z3 Play, Key2 LE, XA2/U, Q Stylo+... Low end is pathetic. J3 2018 (horrible), G6/Play (1 update only) E5/Play (0 update), Xpower 3.

Nokia sells some unlocked phones here too, namely only the legitimate models like the 6.1, the 5, the 3 and the 1 (though their MT sucks).

                  I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 ..
So my vote is for Note 4.
                  and
any phone with the glass back is a big NO for me, no matter how fast or beautiful it is,
for me glass back is a totally non practical thing for everyday use.

Almost every day i visit GSMArena looking for smartphone news..
Day by day i prefer nokia 8.1 even I don't like the notch screen but this phone changed my mind

None of the midrange options are in my country so I chose based on other criterias. And none of the low-end either. Believe me, it there was a "All sucks" option, I'd have chosen that.

Mid ranger Galaxy A9 priced at $480, which is ridiculous. There are many better alternatives out there. Even vanilla Mate 20 the same price as A9 here, with 24 month contract of course.

However, i do agree on the Note 9. If Mate 20 pro & Note 9 on the same pricing, obviously the Note 9 are the best choice, no brainer.

The Poll list should be the same as the price! Pocophone $ 300 vs over $ 800 from others like Note 9 and Mate 20 Pro? Replace Pocophone with mi mix 3! Also in the midrange group and entry group.

for me the best flagships in 2018 are XZ2 Premium and XZ3 and Google Pixel 3 XL... the rest are in so much hype and brags!

still UNFAIR to compare pocophone f1 with premuim flagships like note 9 or mate 20 pro or pixel 3 or oneplus 6t .
It lacks the bright amoled display , doesn't have comparable cameras , its software is not very optimised , lacks some flagship features as 960fps slo-mo shooting and wireless charging and doen't have NFC and doesn't have widevine L1 , design and build quality are also closer to its midrange rivals. but, don't get me wrong . it's still very capable and solid phone and many of the lacked features that are mentioned above can be added or fixed by software updates
Its right place is with upper midrange smartphones like honor play , nokia 8.1 with less than 400$ and more than 280$.
