17 December 2018
The Mi A2 saw limited rollout for Android 9 in mid-November, but the rollout begins in earnest tomorrow. No official word on Mi A2 Lite or Mi A1.

    Strange?!

I received it already 3 weeks ago on my Mi A1 ?!

Domestoboto, 18 Dec 2018The Pocophone got it faster. It's as if Xiaomi is delibe... moreYou do realize that the team(s) working on MIUI are not the same as the one working on Android One right?

You don't need to look any further that to google's own Pixel phones for the delay. Pie was buggy, so no wonder android one phones didn't rush this.

nik.007, 18 Dec 2018That's the point. Both the Honor & Realme are giving mu... moreYou must be delerious. NONE of your suggested phones have fast charging whereas the A2 does. One of your suggested phones has only BT 4.2. NONE of your suggested phones have USB C. Not to mention the Xiaomi Mi A2 is the cheapest. Please present facts, not arguments.

SKR..., 17 Dec 2018At first I thought that there's a mistake in the title but ... moreFun stuff here, you buy a Android One phone - presumably to get that stock android experience. Then you complain about limitations of the stock android launcher and use Nova instead. Hahaha :-)

Don't get me wrong, my wife did the same thing. Stock android is boring and limited, she misses MIUI and I realize I shoud've gotten her the Mi 6X instead.

I always find auto brightness to be terrible, in any phone, and as a result always keep it off.

If you don't want the haptic feedback then switch it off. . . If memory serves me there at least used to be a intensity setting in android previously, or perhaps it was just near stock (Motorola). Anyways I keep this off for everything apart from notifications, alarms etc. And strong feedback is better than weak in those cases. Haptic feedback upon touch is just not my cup of tea.

Every time I see comments like your no. 5, it's a bit puzzling to me how difficult it is for some to accept that it's most likely due to one, or several, of the apps you have one your phone that causes instabiliy. Not the phone or OS itself. My wife has the Mi A2 and never experiences instability, and trust me I should know. As most women she is very over dramatic and any complaint about anything ever comes straight to me without hesitation.

If you've upgraded to Pie already, try a reset to factory and gradually add some apps.

          6) For the price your phone's camera performance is a bargain. Get realistic with your expecations.

          7) The alternative would have baan a camera with weaker performance.Besides, the Mi A2 is anodized and very slippery, so a cover is highly recommended to use. I got my wife covers with glass back (luxury slim silicon tempered glass coque for mi A2) and the camera bump is flush with the case. Also, with a added tempered glass protector in front, it doesn't even look like the phone is wearing any case. 360 degree protections, and she has broken several screen protectors this far, as well as one of the back covers. Clumsy as can be, but the phone looks great and doesn't have a scratch on it.

Mi A2 doesn't make any sense with RM2Pro, Honor 8x, and now Zenfone Max Pro M2.

Mi A1 still not receive android Pie update, even some website tells about stable update. But, in real case, not all user get the stable update.

I'm very disappointed with Xiaomi. I'll never buy Android One smartphone from Xioami again.

cr, 18 Dec 2018Meh..battery doesn't even matter on xiaomi phone i think co... moreTrue, but Mi A2 does not have MIUI, also 3000 (2900) mah battery is 3000mah battery. Similar phones like Redmi 5 Plus, Note 5, Note 6 Pro have 4000mah battery, and MIUI optimisation so its logical to stays more between charges..
For stock, and Xiaomi with good battery life, there is a Mi A2 Lite, that phone is even cheaper than MI A2.
