Shanti Dope, 18 Dec 2018Where do you get the idea that I always bring up Sony every... moreAsk anyone here...people know a guy named Shanti always brings Sony to the table lol...yeah u are that popular.

I'm not against Sony at all. In fact I've own many Sony flagship before, and still a fan. But a fact is a fact, Xperia phones as of now cant competes with others in terms of camera. Too many drawbacks. When u experience the phone yourself, u will know the difference.

And I never trolling, just speaking the truth by my own experience, not from taking here & there and makes assumption. Learn to know the difference. Buy yourself a flagship phone first.

Judging by pictures of P30 Pro bumpers in hand, it would be just GIANT.

Who sits and looks at their smartphones backside? Do you want Form or Function? Most phones will get a case over them that surrounds the lenses and makes the look less hideous.

For now, this is where we are.

Depends if you'll still be able to buy them in most places going forward America, Japan etc.

AnonF-85937, 18 Dec 2018EXACTLY! Finally someone gets it. People seem to be very 1 ... moreIt's a good idea, but I'd honestly trade those extra sensors for one super high quality sensor that could produce near professional camera images without any processing involved.
As for versatility, I'd prefer to have detachable add-on lenses instead, going for wide to optical zoom (which could enable as far as up to true 12x optical zoom for smartphones).
That way, the image quality won't have to be reduced since the main sensor itself is already a high quality one, unlike most telephoto or wide angle lens cameras which are barely usable in low light.
And don't you notice how phones are starting to get looking hideous with the immense number of their cameras on the back?
Dual camera was fine, triple was still acceptable, but quadruple seems too OP to me, let alone penta.

Shui8, 18 Dec 2018Well u think people dont feel irritating by your Sony here,... moreWhere do you get the idea that I always bring up Sony everywhere?? Or are you simply making it up to tease me?
I rarely even mention Sony here, and most of the time that I do would be in places that involves Sony itself. Are you seeing something that I don't?

"Even without Night Mode, Mate 20 pro are the better low lights performer, and P20 pro even more (because of the monochrome sensor, micro contrast, highlights control)."
---As the hardware difference suggests, it only should. Their main difference, however, is that Sony uses no slower than 1/16s shutter speed when handheld in low light, unless it detects that it's on a tripod or on any stable surface. That makes the XZ2 Premium better suited to capturing moving subjects at night, but I guess it can't be considered here since you're simply biased against Sony after all.

And why bring up another irrelevant topic once again? Is it your way of winning an argument?
I guess you got me this time again, and I'm no longer interested talking to people like you who don't even know how to listen in any way.
Goodluck and enjoy your trolling life :-))

Syn, 18 Dec 2018Having 4 cams is not abt improving image quality but abt ve... moreEXACTLY! Finally someone gets it. People seem to be very 1 track minded around here, they do not understand that more lenses brings more versatility.

Each lense can do a great job in its particular department while also aiding the main lense when needed.

But I do understand why people do not see the point, most have never owned a phone with more than 2 lenses and so all this is lost on them.

3 lenses should become standard in 2019, and 4 lenses should be for higher end stuff, with the correct lense setup.

If one sensor is monochrome, ultra wide and telephoto on top of a main sensor, it obviously improvee the options to the end user.

ew the back looks ugly... should've stayed with one-extra-long line of cameras and sensors. x_x

been a big dual cam fan, but nowadays I think a single cam does the job quite fine. Seen great photos by sony, pixel, apple why the need for 2,3,4,5...16 cams? A professional photographer still uses no phone for professional photos anyway. Do people really take great pictures with 4 cams? Want to see 4 camera shots taken by amateurs side by side pixel shots taken by amateurs, will I spot any difference?

Oh hey, would you like to buy a 50 cameras? Oh i forgot to tell it's also come with smartphone feature

Looking forward to this, the industry was caught off guard by Huawei with the P20 Pro camera and I hope they cause another disruption with the P30 Pro.

The versatility and quality of the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro cameras is just incredible, the more lenses they keep adding the more versatility in what you can shoot, opening you up for more creative shots.

Its fantastic to see such improvements in smartphone photography and I find it odd when people ridicule more lenses. If you really hate all these lenses then go buy something more limited like an iPhone or Pixel.

Sony Xperia FOREVER, 18 Dec 2018lol, yeah...i don't know why they keeps adding cameras.... ... moreMore lenses means more variety of scenes that can be captured, from Super Wide Angle to Super Macro Mode.

I can never go back to a Single camera phone after my Mate 20 Pro, having such great versatility in Shooting is amazing and basically the whole point of going Android is to have as many options as possible.

If you are happy with a single camera that limits you, then thats fine, stick with it, some are fine with iOS and its limited abilities to. Get what works for you.
