I always high hopes in Sony products, thing is there is just something that when u used to Sony Xperia before, u kinda want to stick with it.
But not today, at the moment no Xperia phones meets my expectation, really. I own a Sony TV & Sony Home Theatre at home, but not Sony phone as of now lol.

Anonymous99, 18 Dec 2018I think you should watch some unpaid and genuine reviewsI watched, reviewed in real life a lot already, and i own a bunch of Sony flagship before, so i know how their systems, algorithm, style of their camera works already. They improve the camera algorithm a lot since XZ2, but still plagued with the same old problem since Z series.
- Inaccurate focus metering causing overexposed pictures
- Bad dynamic range
- Overblown highlight especially on low lights
- Oversharpen & sometimes cause artifacts that cant be fixed
The best thing about them are natural color reproduction, minimal NR and good 19mp details resolution. But as overall, they still cant competes for the likes of Pixel, Iphone XS & Huawei P20 & Mate 20.

Even without Night Mode, Mate 20 pro are the better low lights performer, and P20 pro even more (because of the monochrome sensor, micro contrast, highlights control).
Stop with the Sony nonsense & wait for the new XZ4, hopefully that will be a game changer. Not XZ2, XZ2 premium or XZ3 cameras.

SMH.......When will you guys learn, or even listen?!
Anyway, the point here is that the XZ2 Premium purely relies on its hardware capabilities, while Mate 20 Pro obviously combines the hardware power with software enhancements, making for a better-looking image.
Sony's photos are less processed than Huawei's, and if not for Night Mode, the XZ2 Premium could go toe-to-toe with the Mate 20 Pro so easily.
I'm not saying that Huawei isn't doing a better job, but I made it clear already in my comment that the XZ2 Premium "NEARLY" matches the Pixel 3 and Mate 20 Pro in low light shooting, which is true by any given proofs and facts.
Next time you reply to me, you make sure first that you have fully read and understood the thoughts in my statements.
You don't know how irritating it is for me to keep explaining the same sht you've been telling me again and again, as if you have no sense of understanding at all.

These guys will keep increasing the camera count to one up each other. It's starting to get ridiculous at this point.
I wouldn't mind these "upgrades" if these companies weren't constantly increasing the prices of their products... but they are, so it is kind of concerning.

4th camera would be the return of the monochrome sensor, because no matter how advanced the Quad Bayer filter of the main sensor is, the monochrome sensor's insane light absorbance capabilities is still a major help to boost in low light photography.
Just take a look at how the XZ2 Premium's low light performance nearly matches the software-enhanced long-exposure low light images from the Pixel 3 and Mate 20 Pro, all with just nothing but information from the RGB and monochrome sensor, combined together to form a single image.
Huawei must've gotten this idea from Sony and now they're merging this to the Night Mode software enhancement algorithm to produce bright, well-detailed, and still accurate low light images with less exposure time (better suited for moving subjects at night).
