am a samsung user i own a note 9, my brother likes huawei hes planning on buying the hauwei mate 20 pro, but i told him that note 9 is way better and is not because am a samsung user and fan, but gsmarena said it was one of the best, i know mate 20 pro is a great phone but note 9 is beast as well, i told him him that he will regret getting the mate 20 pro, i just hope he dont make that mistake lol

The runner up not even sold in the states. Still picked #2 by a website from the US. Must be a darn good device.

Id still take the Huawei Mate 20 Pro over the Note 9.
Heck, id probably say the Huawei had the best performance this year.

Entry level to me are LG K4, Samsung J2, Moto E5 Play...
Not midranges with 6xx Snapdragon.

Nokia 8.1 is nowhere near the mid range market. It cost 400 euro so it is very near to flagship smartphone by price.

How can you compare the image quality on soc... moreIts just one of the sample lol. All of the phone pics also been compress, but the 'overall impression' with naked eyes without pixel peeping leans onto Mate 20 pro, thats why it got voted the most.
I'm no f@nboy, if pixel peep, no other phones can be good as Pixel 3. Iphone XS not too bad either, its the best for video recording. Mate 20 on the other hand, exaggerate a bit much on the processing, but at least not over as previous P20 pro. The results? Best impression on a single pic. Versatile. Triple camera system for ultra wide angle, super macro, optical zoom. And its one the best performer in terms of low lights photography. As far as i know, all Photography Awarded photo taken by DSLR always leans to heavily edited image. Thats the purpose of Mate 20, a Leica trademark style. If one likes natural dull image, Pixel 3 & Iphone XS the best choice. But knowing people using a smartphone, most of the time people dont have time to edit the image. Best way are out of the box, just like Mate 20 does.
Just so u know, yes i own a Mate 20. I know the good side & bad side of it.

Nokia 8.1 is better in ... moreWell said. Atleast nokia don't provide ads in ui just like miui of poco.
And don't underestimate the power of SD710 this also 10nm processor. And more thing Nokia 8.1 has headphone jack. This is premium midrange not flagship. OnePlus is flagship-killer which is going to be flagship by next year 2019 by increasing price.

I have the note 9 and its the best phone I ever had. It's a beast and its the most complete phone in the market.

Note 9 the best phone of the year.
Ridiculous. The Mate 20 Pro brings far more innovation, is way better at battery camera etc.
The note 9 is a (bad) remake of the Mate 10 Pro.

Mate 20 Pro is a very very good phone.But for me Note 9 is slightly better than Mate 2 pro because of zero compromises. It has No Notch Display , a F&%^&ing 3.5mm jack , Stereo Speakers ( Mate 2 pro speakers sucks because of their dumb decision to put it inside Type C port).....
