A8s is high margin product with less specs.

i think you forgot when samsung didnt have quality infront of nokia and no one went to buy their phones. new chinese phones are similar to those times.
im a big fan of sony but recently sony never did a good job so i bought xiaomi and i think its way better than sony.
in my opinion quality always can be cheaper. oneplus 6t even has better quality than note 9 but its cheaper. it means samsung can make cheaper too but they prefer to take your money more than oneplus do

Well interesting!
A8s pros(IMHO):
1-Qualcomm SDM710 "i do like QC more than Kirin and it has better power consumption"
2-Adreno 616 "better in Graphic related workloads"
3-Bluetooth 5.0 "with better battery efficiency"
Nova 4 pros(IMHO):
1-48 MP, f/1.8, PDAF & 16 MP, f/2.2 "probably better pic quality?"
2-2160p@30fps "higher vid quality"
3-Li-Ion 3750 mAh battery "slightly bigger battery"
till here i am on A8s side cause of 3 thing:
1- newer processor also better battery efficiency
2-better graphic "it is known that adreno is better than mali"
3-probably better battery Endurance "newer low power CPU at same fabrication size means lower power consumption"
A8s cons(IMHO):
1-midrange CPU
2-Video Could be better though
3-battery could be bigger "look at nova 4 :-)"
Nova 4 cons(IMHO):
1-power hungry Kirin 970!
2-really gyro-EIS???
3-could have used bluetooth 5.0 instead 4.2 "look at A8s :-)"
and final thought:
i still prefer A8s! :-)
this DOSE NOT mean Nova 4 is a bad phone but it is not my type!

I think punch hole size must be no1 concern. A win on Huawei there.

Not even the contest, with nova featuring sensor thats not even in pricy flagships right now. Might be just right beast to beat pocophone that gains popularity by each day(basically whole xiaomi lineup shoots better than non flagship huawei phones). ...at least based on trend of going from text sharing to picture sharing...

I will vote for a8s just because it has a very useful always on display that shows notification like whats app & fb msger. Im using mate 10 pro but im not satisfied with AOD.

in the past I could say the same but now days Huawei has good spec and quality on price .. sorry for Samsung but nove 4is better in every single aspec you get a last year flagship

QUALITY? they can take care of themselves. who bought it? Who uses it? I think Chinese cellphones are now pretty good.
