@Shanti Dope I have read about some of your comments on the phone's that was release this year, pretty much like every new ideas and design came out as a failure for you even the price have been some sort of a problem but anyways what I am trying to say is that all your comments are based on prediction and definitions. Try to use the phone before you leave any judgment on this site. Please review your comments (PREDICTIONS) like on the ROG Phone, Galaxy Note 9, Huawei Mate 20 that u criticized. For me this are most likely the that won the people of earth. :)

I don't care if it is an 845, 855 or 865 inside... but I do hope all those holes on the back will produce the best mobile phone pictures of 2019. Otherwise this phone has nothing new to offer.

Shanti Dope, 29 Dec 2018The problem lies within the name of the phone itself. As t... moreFortunately, If it's over 500 € I'm not buying.

Well here you go sweetie, I wish you have a Happy New Year to come!

Josh Mui, 29 Dec 2018And expect like the Nokia 8 Sirocco stop production under 1... moreWell somehow the Lumia 950 and Xperia Z5 Premium came out some few more months before the SD820 came out, which still gave them some fresh breath before moving to the next one, in which Sony was also one of the OEMs to release a SD820-powered phone.
In this particular case, Nokia is going to use a 1 year old flagship chipset just in time when others are already prepared to release their flagship phone with the more powerful chipset for 2019. And it would highly fail if they price it similarly to other SD855-powered devices this year, as they did with the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Gonna skip this one because no matter how you see it, this one is only a mere stepping stone for the other smartphone company to boast up their new innovative build with competitive price.

Their product release timing just way off course then other competition with similar spec.
Like the sony z5 premium release release few months before s820... The 950xl with same release much much late the s820 already arrived on door.

"The flagship to end all flagships, then?"

Of course not since it won't be sold in the US.

Even if your phone fails the durability test, you can still go to the manufacturer of your phone and have it fixed or even replaced for free.
Besides, durability lies within the user him/herself as to how he/she will treat his/her phone.
iPhone 6 was notorious for its bendgate problem too, but a lot of people are still using it very well, and in fact, I have a friend who still uses it to this day and it looks fresh as brand new inside its typical cheap anti-shatter case and a cheap tempered glass screen protector.
Nokia could build a phone as solid as a military tank, but if the user will be a crazy freak and detonate his/her phone, then indeed the product itself won't last that long to him/her.

But if the price of this phone is indeed at around $900, then it's a no-go already even before it makes it to every region of the world.

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2018nokia makes the N1 tablet, its phones from low to high end ... moreIt's a given already for Apple products to be of questionable quality despite the high price tag (they're greedy AF after all).
Against Nokia's true competitors like Samsung and Huawei, the quality of their products are on par with Nokia. It's basically a very rare case nowadays to find a phone that fails the standard durability mark of the industry. Even budget phones are capable of being submerged underwater without much problems as well.
Durability has never been a problem today, because if it is, then people would be considering it as the primary concern when buying a new phone, but we clearly know it's not.

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2018If you don`t have none 855, you can not them in the phone..... moreSo should that mean that HMD will limit themselves on either delaying the release or launch the device early?
How about they rename and reposition the phone into something else that would mean that it's not their best flagship phone of 2019?
It's up to them to decide, and if they could get the SD855 just before the second quarter of 2019, then it's not too late for them if they would release the phone at the start of Q3 2019 with the right flagship chipset and be a more competitive offering.
Nobody's really pressuring them to release the phone already, so they have a lot of time to completely polish the overall final product, or do some changes before releasing it.

Not sure what the obsession is with multiple cameras, Google outpaces most phone with a single lens which with Night Sight is obscenely good, amazing. The 5 camera arrangement on the rear is fugly so I guess it will need a compelling price point to be a compelling phone and its camera chops will need to be outstanding! Release date....not the same as the announcement date so if this is released immediately post announcement, it stands a chance but once the 855 packed phones start hitting the market, kinda makes this a mid ranger!
