Even submarines have dificualities to survive in huge pressures such as marianas trench etc.

Well in the 2019 Samsung maybe close all the holes and gaps and makes an IP99 phone imune to water just as submarine.

As always. Sony have the technology but they're not the 1st to benefit, which is sad :( at least on their mobile division.

It has been tested before and rejected because people around you can hear the full conversation. Not good at all.

[deleted post]There is a difference between copying and emulating. I'm sure Samsung is doing the latter.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2018Probably because sharp has no presence outside of Japan....But GSMA also ignored the under screen speaker in their 2014 article on it

But it was release outside Japan, in the small region called the US,,,,

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2018Probably because sharp has no presence outside of JapanThat people write stuff without checking their facts first is just not good enough on a tech-site.
There might be models not in their database, even older, I only checked the GSM-ones in GSMArena's base
The mentioned Chinese device is two YEARS later....

It is quite similar when people claim aPple was early with 320dpi, Sharp had 320dpi all the way back in 2006 https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMax=2009&nDisplayDensityMin=320

(And no I'm not in anyway associated with Sharp, or an owner of their phone, but give credit where credit is due, and do not randomly pick of another device)

Lol... Respect for Samsung not giving up, even they are under heavy attack and going down a little bit, day by day.
