Any ratio higher than 18:9 is moronic. Do the people making these phones even use them? Surfing the internet is best on a 16:9 phone and goes downhill from there. It's like the idiots pushing this only watch movies on their phones and don't use them for anything else. The keyboards get more useless the smaller the width of the phone is unless they make the mistake of bringing back the slide out keyboard.

          Quite sad, because Sony was a good player back in some 10 to 15 years ago.Sony has made many good phones such as Xperia line, but they always make the price higher than the other competitors. Sony failed on pricing strategy. Just one advice for Sony, make a really good premium flagship phones and sell it with the price of midrange phones. That is the only solutions for Sony to survive.

            I'm just gonna hope the next 'mainstream' video aspect ratio is 18:9 and not 21:9, well although 21:9 has been around for years in pc market that is

              On the other hand, rumors have it... that XZ4 Compact will be more like a genuine Sony phone.
              Here is hoping, that Compact one at least justifies the Sony quality brand naming.

                Remember, Sony starts the 16:9 trend before in 2010 Xperia X10, later on Iphone use the same ratio 2 years after that, 2012 Iphone 5.

                At least in my opinion, 21:9 are the future, and better. If u love 16:9, just stick with it. No ones stopping u.

I find it more practical than 18:9, 19:9, and 19:5:9 because 16:9, 16:10, and 21:9 has been used for years. Yes, it will be new on a smartphone, but this would be great for media consumptions especially movies. I hope more OEMs follow. The only impractical thing I see how tall the phone will be especially with phones that is over 6.2"..

                                        Tech sites and silly youtubers will bash.
                                        But then S11 will show up 21:9 and opinions will change.
                                        Same way done to glass body, waterproofing and stereo speakers..
