And no, if I were to mention the power bank, I'd mention it in my previous comment. And if you're someone who listens to music 6 hours a day, for some reason... Then sure, your headphone jack argument is valid. We're going to move to a wireless future sooner or later, I guarantee you that

No they haven't what the heck is wrong with you zombies? Also not everyone is you, so stop thinking that the world is comprised of people that have exactly the same priorities as you. Some of us work 10 hour days and spend a good 70-80% of said days plugged into music. Last thing we want is to be left with less than 20% battery on a long commute back home. And don't you dare say, "Just get a power bank", because a) you're proposing fixing a problem caused by removing a benign port, which means nobody any harm, by lugging around a 300 gram brick; and b) where would I plug it in when my headphones are plugged into THE ONLY SODDING CHARGING PORT. Your move.

Denis Thomas, 06 Jan 2019Boy can we end this? A few people already explained to you ... moreNo, we don't have to end this. And no, companies haven't brainwashed me. First of all, if you say that human ears wouldn't tell the difference between wired and wireless headphones, why the f*** would I listen to what some signals say? And charging is not an issue (at least for me) nor the battery, I'm not going to listen to music for 5 straight hours. Also, what kind of mouse were you using? I also work in Photoshop, and I can tell you that I don't have any problems with a wireless mouse. Only once when I had to replace the battery after 8 months of use, everything after that worked fine. And I have a $15 Logitech mouse. So please, don't act triggered here about a stupid port, go buy a Samsung. Oh yeah, they also removed the headphone jack lmao

Marko97sx, 05 Jan 2019Yeah, because wires are totally normal and naturalBoy can we end this? A few people already explained to you why the headphone jack is better.
As for wireless mouse and keyboard, I was using them. Guess what, I got tired of replacing batteries, checking if the connection is good etc and went back to wired. Everything solved. A wired expensive mouse too. Because as a photoshop user I CAN'T STAND the wireless mouse I had. It didn't recognize my hand movements 100% at times, making photoshoping a fight with the controls.
Floppy discs? That's a stupid argument. Cds could store way more data and there was absolutely no compromise moving to that. Same with dvd discs, and now to the blu ray. It's evolution WITHOUT compromises. So the blu ray is better in every way as a disc. No argument here.
But the wireless technology? that's another story. The wireless headphones have disconnection issues, the battery dies and they need charges, the quality is worse (maybe not with human ears BUT with proper equipment comparison you can check that wired has more data passing though), so there ARE many disadvantages than advantages. That's it.
Companies really brainwash you don't they??

I see an argument about headphone jacks in previous comments?
Nothing beats wired copper connection, however, in the current year, not having a headphone jack is not a dealbreaker for many smartphone users. Same for having the notch.
The most important are camera performance and battery life. Everything else is a bonus, e.g. wireless charging, waterproof, thin bezels.
When it comes to OS updates, nothing beats iPhones. iPhones from five years ago still receive iOS 12 updates; you will never find that in the Android world.

Marko97sx, 05 Jan 2019Dude, why the obsession with wires lol, okay then, so lemme... moreBecause wires make literally everything work. Even things with radio capability need wires, because the bandwidth of copper is unparalleled. It is the theoretical limit. You cannot transfer something through air faster than you can through a wire. Also, it may shock you. But RF systems still work in the presence of connectors. Ergo, even if you have a 3.5mm jack, you can still use bluetooth. That way, you keep those who want to plug into industry standard interfaces happy, as well as those who want to use bluetooth. No one gets alienated, everyone's happy.
