They just won't admit that they've all been brainwashed. If the jack is obsolete, how come apple still includes it on their macbooks, despite the only other port present being USB Type-C? I'll tell you why. Because their primary market is musicians and content creators, and if they drop the headphone jack, they will all jump ship. Just because Apple's convinced a small portion of the mobile sector that the jack is being phased out, doesn't mean anyone else that manufactures audio equipment is going to follow them over that cliff.

Is this why my expensive wireless mouse MX1000 from Logitech is now dead? After 2 years or so those batteries inside will died.
And to be frank I understand to some degree the 2 year cycle of updating phones, but when it comes to mice, headphones and other accessories of this sort, I'm not crazy to change those every 2 years as well!
Then you have to worry about charging everything every day which not only is a nightmare, but you also surround yourself with a lot of UNNATURAL electromagnetic waves that cause tumors and cancer.
We're not there yet with the technology to use only wireless.
The oldest invention of human kind is the wheel and newsflash: we're still using it! By your mentality we should have stopped using it thousands of years ago.
Not everything old is useless. This applies to the 3.5mm jack as well.
How many DJ you've seen in clubs mixing with wireless headphones? By the way, if you see any, that guy is fake mixing.

Look at mouses, MANY people use wireless mouses, because there isn't much advantage to wired because you don't have to charge them etc. And it even takes so little time to charge a wireless mouse, you don't even have to worry about it. Wired is better, but as of righr now. One day, wireless will surpass wired. I guarantee that

Or we could have phones that you need to plug it in to power it on and use it. Oh yeah, lemme just go back to using floppy drives. You might be saying 'what the f*** who even uses floppy drives?' Well it's gonna be the same with the headphone jack in the future, mark my words

What are you, high? You literally need wires. Even wireless headphones have, guess what, WIRES inside them. If this were even remotely true, nobody would be bothering with printed circuits - you would just embed antennas into every IC and inductive coils to couple power into them (oh wait, you can't because you need WIRES to make an inductor). Can you even comprehend how much of a signal integrity nightmare this would be? You would have everything coupling into everything. Forget passing EMC; nothing would work. Ever been in an apartment building with way too many Wi-Fi access points and tried to connect to one? Yeah, it keeps dropping out or flat out doesn't connect. This is what spectral overlap does.

I use wireless headbuds don't get me wrong, but I worry that the battery will dry out after long time of using em.
Their only advantage from wired is that they are wireless. And the advantages of wired headphones surpass them. So as of now, wired headphones are better.

Shanti Dope, 04 Jan 2019Software support isn't 600 bucks more worth it, but that's ... moreOh man.
As far as i were in my life any of countries i visited had Lenovo for sale.
About value. Sony phones can last ages but who want to use its phone for 5-10 years?
Noone most people buy on a contract which last 2 years and then they go for a new phone.
So the value does not matter at all.
Sony can have the vbest screens but only people with passion in the phones find this information usefull.
90-95% of people worldvide are basic consumers and users and for them is price what matters.
Thus Lenovo despite is worse in screen but offers more friendly price and a lot more power i mean specs.
Base specs matters in base public which have no passion in techniology.
They just want the best possible phone for most value in this case Poco Wins but from 24.1.2018 when Z5 Pro GT will be available they grab Lebnovo phone just because of price. One plus is same best possible phone for lowest possible price. Because specs per value is all that matters in most audience which have no úpassion in technology ad they want the best for most affordable price. Which is 90% of people.
S8 is old and ioverpriced because like Sony, also Samsung sells for more becuse its Samsung.
Brand makes good advertising but advertising wont sells as market is overfed by low cost chinese phones with simmilar base specs.
If we Put this Lenovo phone with 400 eur price tag on a stand with all its base specs and next to it your desirable Sony and Samsung among the million of people from all variety like 90% will grab Lenobvo just because of best value for money.
If we continue this way 10 more years Samsung and Sony can close its bussiness.

This is my view as a basic customer.
Just for your information i run a company here in my country with 37 shops open and selling all brands you can name and are availabe at GSM Arena and also some less known brands as well which are unknown even for this site.

Just know the fact times when Brand means everything and was like status symbol are long time gone.
Just look at apple Sales and Sony sales where they were 5-7 years ago and where are now.
I am curious what you reply to this real fact compared to your opinion.

AnonD-731363, 04 Jan 2019Well updates and stability are not worth 600 more bucks. ... moreSoftware support isn't 600 bucks more worth it, but that's not just what makes it better.
                To name a few:
Display, as the XZ3 is regarded to be the best-looking OLED panel on a smartphone as of today, but we never heard of a Lenovo phone known for the best display. Then you will argue that the Z5 Pro GT's screen is more than good enough, but then technology will evolve and some mid rangers might even be better. The Galaxy S8 also has a better display and it's also cheaper, so does that also mean the Z5 Pro GT isn't worth it? Maybe not, but long-run time matters too, and the Z5 Pro GT's screen would look dull in just less than 2 years.

Availability, as Sony, despite being in complete danger to total loss, is still more widely available than Lenovo phones are.

Value, because Sony was once released with a premium price tag, you could sell it at a very high price still even after a year or two of use (assuming the phone itself is in perfect or mint condition).
You cannot sell your used Z5 Pro GT for more than 400 bucks, so you're not going to get much money from it.
You might spend so much more with the XZ4, but in turn you get to experience one of the best smartphones in the world and still gain a very high profit for selling it, which means you'd actually get more than what you paid initially.
I mean, sure you could get the Z5 Pro GT if the XZ4 is really out of your budget, but to say that the XZ4 isn't worth it is a huge mistake. You only see the value at the very beginning without really seeing the benefit that you can get in the end.

Correct me if i am wrong???
Samsung also dont deliver any updates at all oor to be honest with them when comming to the updates their devices are always last. When everybody have a pie or some of them Android 10 they start receiving pie.
Nothing that Sony puts into Z4 is worth 999 bucks. Even if nonpremium version will cost 600 or 700 is not worth the money because its already killed by this Lenovo Phone or any other flagship which cost much less. Such as Pocophone Blackshark, Red Nagic nade by Nubia etc,

Okay then, let's see which one will be supported by their respective OEMs in the software department, and yeah I worry nothing because Sony never fails to deliver in software updates and stability.

The audio quality through wired headphones is proven to be better than through wireless ones.
The battery in the Bluetooth headphones ends, this doesn't happen with wired headphones.
There is no audio latency with wired headphones, there is with wireless ones.

Taking away features is a downgrade not an upgrade no matter what you say. And the headphone jack is, was and will be the best way to output hi res audio without compromises.

                            Go home, you are drunk.

I wouldn't mind having ZERO physical ports, ZERO physical buttons and ZERO speaker cutouts if everything were hidden under one monolithic piece of glass, if there were a decent bone conduction speaker, a properly working sensor volume rocker & off switch and a multi-purpose wireless port for chargers and dongles and finally, if it all meant 100% water protection. Then I wouldn't even mind zero repairability.

Everyone will remove the headphone jack, it's only a matter of time. Look at Samsung, even they began to remove the headphone jack on their A8s. One minor thing shouldn't change your decision. There's always adapters, and you can just keep the adapter attached to your wired headphones. It's not a huge issue. People need to get over it. I wasn't mad when Sony removed the 3.5mm jack, because I was prepared for it, others should be too. Wireless headphones ARE the way to go. Trust me, don't let one minor thing change your decision of what smartphone are you gonna buy. Mark my words, the charging port will also be removed (not now obviously) but it will happen. I'm using a 5 year old Xperia (which has a headphone jack) and I don't even use the headphone jack anymore. Get used to it, trust me, it's better.

Now I'm using S8+, which is cool but OVER bloated with junk features I never use and I find myself missing Sony. If the S10 quits the jack too, I'm buying a Sony again.
Best update service after Google Pixel, very very fast and reliable, no FCs and the best part is that they last a very long time! My 6 yo Sony is still working flawless.
With Samsung it takes 1.5-2 years to upgrade! wtf?? by the time they release a new os update there's already another version out if not two. It doesn't justify the price tag at all from this point of view..
Even the chinese brands are better in terms of updates but I'd never buy one..
Sony is the best! Now that they're using oled and tall displays I don't really see any reason NOT to buy one. I really wish they'd bring back the jack though..
