The limit for luminance is 846 ppi which is more than the Sony 4K handset display offers. I know that a 3W SoC has a very hard time driving such a high-resolution display for 3-D graphics, but for rendering pages of an ebook it shall be enough. For 3-D, high-end PC graphics cards still are necessary for 4K which more likely consume 250W than 3W.

      Owned a dozen Xperias since old Sony Erricson, and even before...
      all of them working, heck even batteries still working.

      My bro never used Xperias in last 10 yrs, just some other renown brands, all went to garb in 2-3 years... thats why he always changes brands when buying new phones, always looking sth that ll last longer, so he gave up on big brands, now buys cheap chin, as them dont last but are at least not expensive.

      But he aint listening, he never bought a Sony phone.
      Suits him well.

        I'd like Sony to add DAC's to their phones for wired headphone duty.

          All the powerful CPU, Memory, High res display are good. But at this point we need better battery which nobody cares it seems.

            2K is just useful enough on my 55 inch TV to see any diference from Full HD.
            So yah, if 4k is useless on mobile, so is 2k.

            People using 2k on their mobiles, but complaining about 4k usefulness, are just hypocrites.

They've had some WTF moments through the production timeline (prices of some items, protective screens with the Sony logo, original Z display, Z3 Compact glass failures, the Z3+ and Z5 pocket space heaters, camera overheat, switch of focus with the X Compact, finally the loss of jackie in the XZ2 and XZ3 series). Doesn't mean their stuff isn't interesting, unique, refined or stylish.

The only phones I've owned that actually break for no reason in less than one year are LG (currently waiting for a warranty replacement on my G7) and Samsung (A galaxy S7 edge died for no reason AND samsung refused to replace it).

                          With Sony and me and my family have owned pretty much every phone sony has released among all of us, all of them lasting well over 2.5 years. From the Z1 Compact, to the Z2, the Z3 and Z3 Compact (z4 was garbage), the Z5, XZ, and XZ1 and the Compact, even midrangers like the XA, (XA1 actually were bad).

                          None had failed out of nowhere.

Edged screen takes away the protection ability of tpu covers.

                                    Truthfully , i like Playstation and really want to have one . But that wasn't the reason i like Sony in the first place . Their cameras , Xperia , Bravia , Walkman and former Vaio laptop was the main reasons i like Sony in the first place .
