When my phone broke down i have guarantee from the local shop i bought it from and they will deal with it. Either replace it or give me a choice for new phone or money back if it's in there guarantee terms.

Genza, 10 Jan 2019Can you tell me why samsung can make their phone cheaper?
... moreWell, at least Samsung has proper warranty which they do respect across Europe. Xiaomi writes a limited warranty full of niceties that sound like Samsung's warranty in Europe, but then their "Global Service" completely ignores it... any attempt to remind them of the different terms (which you actually paid for in the EU inflated price) will only result in the same copy-paste response that tells you to "go eff yourself".
I know that for cheap phones this may be like saying "bear sh*ts in the woods", but (1) there are other brands that offer proper warranty at the same pricepoint and (2) even if you buy a Mi Mix you will get the same "go eff yourself" treatment from the "Global Service".

There is and it's one their revenue source that enables them to sell their devices way less than their competitors. Just disables it in settings or flash an ad-free custom ROM. Case solved

Note 9 user, 10 Jan 2019150$? Maybe is you live in China. Even on sites like aliexp... more$150 is the price equivalent in China. Outside of it, expect taxes and retailer stuff so the price will go up depending where you live. Luckily for us, we can expect to get it for around $180-190.

Abunja, 10 Jan 2019Was SD 660 at $150 a scam to you?150$? Maybe is you live in China. Even on sites like aliexpress, for now, this phone in 3/32gb config is 209$.. For now only Chinese version is available. Yes, it will be cheaper, maybe there will be global version to order, for month or so, but even then 180-190$ for 3/32gb is real price, because those sellers buys in China for 150 and want to earn something. But even for 180-200$ for 4/64 i think is good buy if someone wants 'new' mid phone with Xiaomi logo.
