I am asking, because some banking apps don't work when a phone is rooted - even if you hide the rooting part with Magisk.

If Redmi Note7 has 48MP Camera then what for flagship. It will literally sell like HOTCAKE in India.

Hey Samsung whats up for M Series : ?
              #DoWhatYouCant

Xiaomi created Redmi as sub brand because it want to steal NOTE legacy from Samsung.

SagarSK, 10 Jan 2019Wow, just when Samsung wanted to rule low end market with M... moreIf they can't give up the potential revenue, at least they could compete spec-wise. That's why they kept the brand name in their 'M' series.

Meg, 10 Jan 2019Is that it? No Redmi 7 in a smaller footprint? I, too, still waiting for the whole lineup.

Tayyab999, 10 Jan 2019I really hope that Xiaomi's this year's flagships will have... moremicroSD can fail after a long time, that's why most flagships aren't including it as it reduces the phone's overall reliability. Also, they can tweak their prices by adding up variants that offers larger storage. Why would someone buy their 512/8 version if they decided to put an SD slot on their 256/8 one?

Wow that is one sick price! Even in the ultra-competitive Chinese market, there is only one Snapdragon 660 phone which is cheaper (360 N7 Lite), and Redmi Note 7 has a far better UI, and likely far better cameras too.

                        Well done Xiaomi!

Dude, 10 Jan 2019Comes with free ads. Skip! 8x over this junk8x? Hehe, no. I'll take any brand as long as it has a nice build, slapped with an efficient SD chip, and most of all, cheap.

Seeing how amazing the basic Note 7 was, I'm now excited how they'll bring the 'Pro' version. Though I'm not a big fan of any kind of notch, at least the trade-offs on what they could offer is pretty overwhelming. An SD card slot, a large battery, a headphone jack and a USB-C type connector which also supports QC, all for $150! The added extras are neat, but they're not a necessary thing for me, like the dual glass, as I always buy a phone case, and a 48 MP camera which I think is an overkill and not being utilized well due to it being only SD 660. Wish that Xiaomi retain most if not all of this setup in their 'Pro' version, my Redmi 4 wants to rest (lol).

Hey who told you Sumsung can rule the low end or midrange phones? Never, they can rule the highest end phones but not low end and mid end. Even the high end they really have to step up their game else Huawei I taking over sooner than later. Sumsung midrange phones they mix the specs with low and specs and charge high price so they cannot rule there. Huawei and Xiaomi use high and specs and sell at midrange very affordable price so there difference is clearly there. If you ask all the phones great reviewers around to show the best five midrange phones no Sumsung phone comes up. If really Sumsung wants to target the midrange and the low the they have to use better specs and bring the prices down and down.

I really hope that Xiaomi's this year's flagships will have a bigger battery and a microSd card support because when phones this cheap can,why not the expensive ones?

150usd is great but I bet in the UK it will cost more like 290usd. Their launch in the UK has been hugely disappointing and Honor are offering better value options
