I don't hate MIUI, but I'm not a fan. I will give it another shot when MIUI 11 is released. Stock is still my favorite. So hopefully Xiaomi moves a little closer in that direction.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2019Yup, and the solution is to unlock bootloader, install TWRP... moreYour proposal is to root the xiaomi phone and install another ROM ? Not every body are savvy to do that.

Crescendo, 14 Jan 2019the development will put ADS on every nook & cranny...Yup, and the solution is to unlock bootloader, install TWRP, then install Xiaomi.EU ROM Dev / Stable for an AD-FREE, faster performance along with the bells & whistles for each specific Xiaomi smartphone / tablet.

Compared to Scamsung UI the MUI is outstanding and exceeds any expectations.

Probably the LAST & FINAL MIUI upgrade "coffin" for Redmi Note 4/4X, Redmi 4 Series, Mi Max. This will also bring an END to Xiaomi smartphones with hardware back-lit keys. RIP in advance.

i am tried of Miui after Miui 8....because u cannot backup your app data any more..it used to work normally until miui 8....for example try backing up 'whatsapp' and u will get a warning meassage like 'some apps may not be backed up or restored' and whatsapp back up will fail..
this used to work in miui 8.....so for me miui 9 and miui 10 is not good...

Jags, 11 Jan 2019Use Poco launcher..it's pretty neat and it's freeWell, I'm indeed using a version of the poco launcher that came out before the actual one, and it's just a regular app drawer, without the so many features of the poco launcher. It is quite smooth, doesn't get killed in the background, and the APK was an update to the mi launcher system app itself. I wish exactly this is passed on as standard on MIUI.

I can use other launchers, but the problem is that MIUI likes killing apps and there's a lot of crashes, slowdowns, janky animations while using third party launchers. Which is why I want them working on their own launcher, for a better overall experience.

Nicolas F, 11 Jan 2019What do you mean about RAM management?) And animations on ... moreIt kills of background apps even on 4gb of ram. And there are a ton of animations in the UI and most of the times, they don't play out smoothly and the overall experience is quite janky.

Never had problems with MIUI performance. What I had problems with is idiotic task killer that can't be turned off and tons of small bugs and glitches everywhere that ruin overall experience.

2nd most iOS like android skin after ColorOS. I wonder why people like MIUI as it is 😒😒.
