We wont see 5g anytime soon at where I live, and it won't be available to customers as it will be to business/companies...therefore 5g isn't exactly gamechanging THIS year.

- I don't watch YouTube or download torrents everywhere I go, so 5G is kinda useless for me.
- Also I'm really not that interested in the camera quality (especially the silly selfie camera), unless you add infra-red to it.
- Dual screens are the dumbest idea ever.
- sliders seem a cool thing but I'm worried about the quality build and how long it will last before it breaks.
So I vote for flexible displays, even though I'm not planning on buying the first models. The technology is too new and I'll wait 2-3 years until they will perfect it and it becomes a standard.
I'm more interested in Nano SD cards and other similar products. I wish they would make micro or nano SSDs for smartphones :)

G.Agrianitis, 14 Jan 2019Why do guys care about 5G so much?
I mean LTE is fast as h... moreThe results of the poll won't reflect the reality... I seriously doubt that those that have voted for 5G will really be eager to upgrade the phone for the sake of 5G. Operators that have proper 4G deployments already offer decent speeds like 50mbit minimum with some 19ms latency. It's more than enough to forget about internet speed (not everyone uploads 20GB databases every hour).
If we filter out 5G votes, the results will probably reflect the preferences more realistically.

See the productivi... moreYour ideas are good, but on a 5 - 6 inch screen it would be like looking at the world through a keyhole. 99 tabs, while having space to only see one tab at a time, and having to tap a button to even see the tab switcher is insane. That's where foldable phones come in, so that you can have a screen big enough to fit all that.

Why do guys care about 5G so much?
I mean LTE is fast as hell if you ask me, sometimes faster than most home vdsl connections.

I picked foldable phones. That's the most revolutionary change in phone design out of all these choices, and the ability to have a huge screen while keeping a small form factor that fits in a pocket can be really useful.

The results of the poll are quite ugly.
5G? Seriously? I have a 3G phone and its connection speed is more than enough for me. Also 5G will feature the worst connectivity out of all existing cellular technologies because of its very high frequency range.
Multiple cameras are what I'm looking towards - because they are the only feature on the list which is good for pretty much everyone out there.

Creating an outer body for a device of which cannot be smashed or cracked easily would be perfect, it has been done before but not across the majority of brands, along with better battery life

I would like to see going back to 16:9 screen ratio.

5G is just a price raise trick. We don't need fester internet, the internet is fast enough what we need is more bandwidth. Streaming full hd content or video/voice chat doesn't need 1Gb/s internet Even 1Mbs is enough for everything as long as bandwidth let us to use it.
Next theme: i find foldable phones useless expensive junks. They don't act as a phone cause they are very thick atm and they are not a real tablet but as expensive as 1phone+1tablet.
At the end it is my personal opinion.

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2019what's the big deal with 5G? I have yet to see someone use ... moreThe big deal is the current bandwidth is already overpopulated.. And the rise of the LoT devices.. the traffic will be too noisy. Thus 5G..
Its the same problem with ipv4 / ipv6... Overpopulation..
But for marketing.. you can't say overpopulated right?.. You gonna sound good!.. Say blazing fast speed!! To get people all overhyped.

I'm sad so many people are into 5G it's stupidly dumb.
it can get blocked by a freaking leaf.
it needs expensive antennas and moduels
the real life speeds are barely different. keep in mind even LTE gets throttled in most places.
what's the point of super fast internet if you get throttled or data capped
also it's effects on humans aren't very studied and there has been some stuff saying it's harmful

Take a look at a normal PC.. and the OS. See the productivity you gain from a PC. Add it to the phone. SIMPLE just like that.
No need punch out camera.. no need notches.. no need lack of jacks.. no need flexing.. no need Animoji.. all these hype means nothing!! Just a plain regular 5 inch / 6 inch supercharged phone.
What will be WOW is, i can run 10 apps at once.. play 5 games in auto mode.. use multiple VPNs... Drag and drop image.. words.. videos everywhere.. while browsing 99 tabs.. ALL in an intuitive GUI. Not this iOS copy Android.. android copy iOS junk.

5G will be just a marketing jargon in 2019 and part of 2020. In reality, coverage will only be at few major cities in developed markets and each carrier has their own specific 5G phone.
Best feature in 2019 imo will be the improvements of photography via software. We can already see what software can do in night mode of Pixel and Huawei phones. I'm sure Apple is not far behind in pushing out a similar feature on iPhones. Add on the multiple cameras trend, we will see another leap of mobile photography to a new level.
Foldable phone? Nobody asked for that. Dual screen? Nobody asked for that either.
