All those are just gimmicks! I prefer 5.8" to 6" screen without Punch hole or Notch. Anyway, they will have chin at bottom so thin top bezel for selfi camera, flash, mic, sensors are acceptable. 3.5" jack is must have. 4GB/64GB is minimum requirement for 2019 (along with expandable storage slot). At last but not least minimum 5000 mah battery.

how funny a lot of people choose Punch hole cameras & Foldable phones.
I don't think that we have something unique this year... maybe next year.

If I could have the tablet of my dreams I would go back to dumbphone.. I hate messengers, but sadly have to use..
This tablet would be :
- SD 820, 821, 835 , 845 or 855
- 4Gb ram
- 128GB storage
- no rear cam
- front cam 12MP 1/2.3" f1.85 ( I enjoy video call)
- 10" 16:9
- Full HD LCD
- 9000mAh
- IP68
- Front stereo speakers
I do not like iOS, so iPad Pro is useless.
Pixel Slate looks nice, but Intel cpu makes me worried about battery life. And I dont need 8 or 16Gb ram. The 4Gb is only 64Gb storage.. No option 4 + 128 ...

Many flagships will probably have two versions. 4G and 5G according to the market.
OnePlus CEO said that 5G may increase price up to $300 compared to previous device.
I dont care about 5G. Even the 4G here is still bad. In big cities speed barely pass 30 Mega. If you have full signal strength only..
In small cities is way worse, instead of 4G I often see H+ which is just between 3G and 4G. City with 133000 citizens...
My carrier is the biggest here ...

5G won't change much for phones as they are today.
The only meaningful choice is foldable screen devices.

Does 19:9 mean notch?
Also heard about extremely powerful cameras.

Vvvky, 13 Jan 2019An ideal 2019 flagship for me should have the following:
1... moreWell , I agree with you .. But
- The last phone with great speakers and headphone jack was XZ1. S9/Note9 is not on pair, just louder with less quality..
- Except Sony and Apple, looks like all other put limits to 4K.
- EIS can not be applied to 4K60 , because this mode takes hardware/software to the limit. That is why EIS is better at 1080p compared to 4K.
- Most of your list will be on next Sony Premium.
- A device with all this would cost at least $480 to be made. Xs Max 256Gb pass $400 just the material bills.
- If you want 2 days battery with moderate use, you need HD or Full HD screen. Unless a flagship comes with 5500mAh.
- Except OnePlus , Asus, Honor and Motorola/Lenovo all other brands use HDR10 screen on their flagships ( Sony xz2/xz3 use BT2020)

An ideal 2019 flagship for me should have the following:
1. The latest SOC with starting from 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage and a dedicated SD card slot with the dual SIM model no more hybrid please.
2. Triple rear cameras with a regular, ultrawide and telephoto lens setup.
3. A battery that can last two full days with moderate use and no gaming.
4. Excellent sound quality and a headphone jack.
5. No holes in the display seriously I don't mind the bezels with the S9 and S9+
6. QHD or 4K resolution HDR 10 and Dolby vision compliant screen.
7. Launching with the latest Android version with support for themes and good customization options like the Nova launcher.
8. IP rating, Gorilla Glass 6, 4k 60fps with no 5 or 6 minutes cap, 4K HDR video recording OIS and EIS up to 4k 60 fps, a good night shooting mode.
9. MOST IMPORTANT: THE DEVICE SHOULD BE PRICED REASONABLY AND NOT OVERPRICED.

Strange that some people(a lot by the poll) need 5g. 4G is fast enough. It's like with flagship phones - in 2012 you bought a flagship (s3, optimus, one x/s, what ever motorola had) and you were good for 3-5 years or so. Now you can buy a 300euro device and use it for 2-4 years. Hardware now has diminishing returns and buying that iphone only means that you don't care about other people as much as you care about your phone.
