13 January 2019
Sliders were some of the hottest phones on the market, then the iPhone happened. But now they are back and it's all because of the notch.

Of course foldable devices has a future, but sure the initial price is extreme.

I guess we would all love a device as big as an e.g. A4 sheet of paper when using, that could be packed away to 'nothing' in the pocket. But that is not likely with known technology, so something less extreme would do. A 16:9 device that in tree sections could be folded like a Z to 16:9 in the other direction to phone size would be a very good compromise.

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2019The big daddy of them all? Nokia N95.100% mate ;)

It will be here as long as successfully solve problems i guess. Foldable ones by the time that they will be really practical in 2 - 3 years, flagships will cost $1600 or more

The same will be for flip phones, as foldables are close to release.

And in the rebirth Peter completely overlooked that a real slider is set for 2019 Q1 release....

No offense, but I hope it dies again. Such ugliness.

IMO Foldable phones ain't going nowhere with that 1500+$ expected price tag.
