If you use the AMOLED display as an excuses some Xiaomi phones also use a AMOLED display.

Bailey, 12 Jan 2019Dont forget, they put ads on their OS and software so they ... morefalse... the adds come not from xiaomi but from tampered devices. resellers often install counterfeit ROMs, but u can go back to an official rom. i can agree the procedure is more difficult nowadays than it was 2-3 years ago, and that a low end user may not realize they have a counterfeit rom in their mobile, but that doesn't justify you saying xiaomi installing malware (ads) on their devices.

Bailey, 12 Jan 2019Dont forget, they put ads on their OS and software so they ... moreYes, but considering I rarely use Xiaomi's in-built apps, I rarely care about ads, and even if there are, they are easily excusable since I won't really waste most of my time using their apps.
Any non-Xiaomi app is free of ads, yet there's also the Gallery app which contains absolutely no ad.
If ads really allows Xiaomi to offer such amazingly-priced phones that aren't very hard to digest, then I would say the trade-off is doing more good than harm and I would definitely approve it, though there should be an option of paying more for an ad-free experience.

MaxLine, 12 Jan 2019Well, technically, it takes 12MP shots only, and then inter... moreThe sensor itself contains 48 million pixels, only that it has different way of capturing images, in which it doesn't take full resolution images, but rather uses all the pixels to produce a lower resolution but better image.
Talking about pure resolution, it still remains a 48MP sensor, but it would be better optimized to work in 12MP most of the time.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2019Sth is strange , its price is too damn low for such feature... moreIt's not weird if you know xiaomi and Chinese phone manufacturers in general. It's just people in the West are used with having only more expensive choices so they don't entirely realize just how overpriced their products are. About the adds part i can say i've been using xiaomi for over 5 years and i haven't encountered any apps in the UI, adds pop out usually when opening a Chinese app, including xiaomi's own apps, i'm using the chinese rom so i know it's very common for Chinese apps to load adds at start or small banners inside it but it's not related to the MIUI. Maybe other users have different experiences. Overall i'm pleased with their products and their ecosystem as i keep everything connected through their mi home app. It's pretty cool. Cheers
