    Well to be honest cell phones surpases many devices such as Navigation, an audio recorder, fitness band and many many more.
    But to be honest again a day when a phone surpases proper camera or a DSLR camera is not here its not even close maybe after a 10 years but definitely not now.

              Is it that they've lost so much money that they weren't able to gain enough money back to produce those things again?
              If the Sony that's making smartphones today is the same as the Sony in the early 2000's, then we might have 5x optical zooms on mid range smartphones already.
