Title says 10x optical zoom and actual article says 10x looseless zoom which one is it? I hope this is variable and camera just dont jump to 10X or atleast make it 5x and 10x though just 10x would be cool too and after this I will consider telephotos camera lens to be more useful than wide angle

So all other Android phones can only compare with the premium brand. Even Google used iPhone photo as comparison during their Pixel 3 announcement. And I have NEVER seen Apple comparing to any Android phones before. That's Apple pride I guess.

              They still didn't released previous generation of optical zoom in real phones. Now they advertising next generation. Guess this tech is fake. Just for hype.

                        Why someone need that much zoom on everyday use? I concern about privacy issue here.

                          Gsmarena loosing credibility. In the title they say 10x optical zoom. In the article they say 10x lossless zoom(digital zoom)

                            Actually the previous 5x and this 10x zoom is a Corephotonics created patent, and since Samsung is acquiring Israeli company Corephotonics, Oppo is in a hurry to finish all the parents they paid for and finish all the developments on pending JV work. Smaet move I guess.

                                As a Sony fan, it hurts me that a Chinese company was able to discover this instead of them, which is a shame also for a company that currently leads the mirrorless competition.
                                Though it most likely won't be ready for general smartphones yet, it's still disappointing, as such innovations are supposed to be expected from companies like Sony.
                                It feels like Sony already discovered this thing several years ago, but instead of announcing it on their own, they've decided to let Oppo do it.
                                Amazing technologies nowadays only come from the Chinese brands, and only a few branded ones are left with that much innovation.

                                  if it is an actual device oppo kills it!!!
