Your some tech geek then it's your problem that phones dont last over a year for you and you need to upgrade it every year. People want compact phone but dont want it to be flagship hardware and price. They dont need all that power for a phone they use mostly for calls cause the screen is not big enough to make more on it then just calls and some text messaging. Maybe look mails and some info for some shop is open or not when your out shopping.

I can use my back up phone that is Nokia Lumia 520 what is compact enough too for that matter. If i buy a new phone i want a new phone and not years old model. Same argument like in Apple phones. Buy older model.
The reason to buy new phones is to get updated in security and maybe even base android for few years. And not buy something old that is in it's end of updates.

But you lose some MP in the corners because sensor is rectangle and lens is circle.
Few weibo users says it can record 8K.
This 666 has dram .... It is the one ..

It can exports max. 50MP by 1:1 or 48MP by 4:3 or 35.6MP by 21:9. So the SD855 won't handle all the 66.6 Pixels. I guess the pixels more than 50MP are used for EIS. And the sensor might have a integrated EIS Chip to make the EIS calculation und reduced the work of the phone.

For such a resolution, 1.00um pixel pitch sounds a bit impossible for a 1/1.8" sensor, maybe it's even smaller.

The era of customized phones has not yet erupted and we may not see that in the near future. Mobile brand manufacturers should give more options to users in terms of design. We should have options to build our own custom mobile phones by picking and choosing the attributes that suit us best. For instance, some people prefer phones to have squared edges, while others prefer them to have a radius of 3 or 5 degrees. Some people might prefer a super slim bezel, while others a medium one, and contrary some a thick bezel. Moreover, some people might prefer to have a screen size that is not more than 4 inches long, while others want a 7-inch or 10-inch screen size. Likewise, some people may prefer a metallic coating, while others a matte coating, and perhaps others a luminous mirror-like coating. Last but not least, many companies only give their customers a few colors to choose from such as with Apple the sky grey or black color. You see, in the end, it's all about customizations. The more options companies give to its end users, the more probability there would be to satisfy them. But to be frankly speaking, the big name companies such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, etc. do not do that because their primary target audience is to sell their products in massive bulk. If there was a company that wants to deliver high-quality luxurious premium products, it should go to a more specific target niche to deliver such customizations, and yes it might cost you a bit more to buy a custom phone, but at least, it'll be tailored exactly to how you would like to see it. That's just my personal opinion on the whole matter. Hope you agree (:

Looks promising. I hope it will be dual sim (which in my opinion is absolutely must). Market needs a powerful but compact and reasonably priced device. There is no need for SD855 as SD7XX will be more than enough for such device. As well as 720p is perfecly enough resolution for anything with below 5" screen.
