i admit it my love for bezels is long gone, so punch holes seems so cool because they dont alter the screen shape like notches and waterdrops. Its just a matter of which is better since the front cam should face us

AnonD-824731, 27 Jan 2019Why do we even need bezel-less phones? Something like a Gal... morefoldable phones is perhaps the most nonsensical idea EVER!! It literally has no benefits other than taking less space and believe me, your pockets are large enough to carry a single phone
PS: Foldable phones have an extremely short lifespan as it is prone to getting cracked in its joints

Punch holes look absolutely atrocious. Nothing more disturbing aesthetically than a hole, specially if it's s asymmetrically positioned. You also look at all that unused screen around the hole and the border.
Rectangle notches too. The problem with them is that they sacrifice functionality, leaving less space for notifications.
Teardrop notches are fine. After using a phone with one, they cover only a minimal portion of the screen, and actually look kind of nice. That's why I went for the Note 8.

[deleted post]Create a notch or water drop or punch hole and create another black bar to cover those ugly features hardware!? Why can't they just give it a straight line don't cut out the shape, it isn't creative at all, but it's very stupid because when cover with black bar you get smaller display ratio while at the same time the software is bulky up with these hide and unhide settings.

In my opinion punch holes are better than notches; you see, notches are right there in the middle of the notification area, while punch hole cameras leave the rest of the status bar for, well, status icons and notifications.

[deleted post]You get a little bigger display but the black hole is always there and can not be turn off, so I say it is "Always On", a hole blackout whole day even you turn any page picture gaming, it is always there.

Neither. We need a phone that can give us good camera esp from the front side, some phones like Honor Play.. front facing camera in apps totally zoomed in the face, kinda disturbing and it's not quite I expected, esp if I use Snapchat. Notches nor punch hole doesn't do much, just leaving big spaces for icons to fill in. ugh! They should do something about that.

It is not just the surface area wasted, punchholes are deeper than notches, even Pixel 3 XL’s notch and force UI elements down. You can see it in the new Samsung phone where the notification bar is super thick to clear the punchhole. Instead of a thin notification bar on notch phones, punchhole phones have extra thick bar.

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2019You adjusted to its crap factor :)lol. i guess so. for the last 2 years i have been preaching against any screen cutouts that interrupts contents being viewed. i have checked it out from friends and family devices that has notches just to see how the content would look like, and i always have cringed at having the parts obstructed by the cutout. i thought it was even worse when viewing webpages in landscape mode, being that some of the texts or whatever webpage content is indeed interrupted at the notch. then as i started using the pocophone f1, which has an enormous notch, i began to realize that most videos or pictures viewed on the smartphone screens have the important things or the subject either at the center or close to it; nobody in their right mind would put a subject or information being presented in a media in the far edge of the screen where the notch would be. then on browsing webpages- i also realized that i only mostly browse the internet with the phone in protrait orientation, so no texts or content can be bothered by the notch; besides, most mobile web browsers have the capability to convert webpages into mobile-friendly presentation so you still can enjoy it on portrait orientation. this is just my opinion, and i would agree with what you have said that i indeed have adjusted to it; or more suitably, i have adapted to it.

Why they don't use double screen (front & back) instead of double camera.

No it's not better, hole in the screen is much worse than a small notch. Both are bad tho.
