There are stakes at both the side. It may kill some jobs. LOL! But do u think how many jobs will be created if they start to use local parts in their goods. It will be on bright side for India in future... the road to future is not that easy. U may have to lose something to get something bigger. This gov is doing that what Trump is doing for America. For ex- BS-IV compliant vehicles were made compulsory from April 1, 2017 while the government had planned to skip the fifth stage and jump to Bharat Stage VI from 2020..did this move hit all the big car companiesthat hard... be ground to earth and see what is gov. doing for helping India to grow not for Samsung or any other MNC...         That's pretty much why its a win-win for both consumer and Samsung

          They can cancel whole production. Like someone wants an superexpensive phone where xiaomi offers much more powerful phone with equal or better quality for a much lower price.
          Same goes to Hauwei.

                It is bad move in any way!
                Construction need time be it a small office or as some mentioned here the biggest factory that samsung has ever build!
                Also in any way the people are gana pay for this:
                1- If samsung moves out of India than there would be no more employment in samy factory and their product would become more expensive than before (hence the 10-11% tax)
                2- If samy stay and wait for the factory construction to be completed than there would be price uprising for those devices that screen have to be imported or maybe in general every samy device
                3-If samy stay but won't make any more top notch models, which leads to uprising the top models price which again maybe effect the mid and low range device price
                You know economies different part are connected to each other.
                They should have seen every aspect of it before making any move.
                Also in any way samsung tries to keep it's profit so the shareholders could be happy!
