My S9 for Canada was made in Korea. My Note9 for Canada was made in Vietnam. It's not linear, it's a modular approach

This is election year in India. If Samsung chooses not to manufacture components then their mobiles will be expensive. Indian government must stop acting stupid as well.

The main reason why Samsung was able to keep S9 and Note9 prices same with minimal increase (even undercutting US cost in case of Note9) was due to local assembling.
Now I'm pretty much sure the prices are gonna increase to what was already a high tag unless Samsung tries to keep its market share by reducing its profits.
