All Xiaomi did here was make a big phone even bigger. What's the point?

Looks better than Samsung's foldable phone, and probably will sell for less than half the price too. Well done!

I want one, this approaches my old design proposals. The folding is stylish, but using full folds gets you a more tablet like form factor from a 16:9 ish normal phone firm factor closed. So many of the foldable phones look embarrassingly unstylish, and expensive. Isn't that stupid foldable oled meant to be eventually printable and cheap? How much does it cost to have a wrap around screen on the cheapest android phone that will take it, and then unwrap to a 7-10 inch tablet. Likely not much eventually. Do they think they are going to save their declining ashes in the face of steep price hikes in recent years, by charging even more. Time to get back to flagships costing $500.

I am a Samsung fan, but what I have seen so far it loosk like this Xiaomi folds much nicer that the Galaxy F. Lts wait for the real versions :).

The future is promising, but I have a few complaints about this prototype.
Its plastic display is horrible, look at those reflections showing a very uneven surface.
And there is a bump in those 2 bendable parts of the screen.
I really wish near perfect flat glass' screens.
Last but no least, when you fold the phone you start holding a brick (too thick).

Not sure if any maker will propose a solution where you can seamless snap 2 screens together to make a bigger screen.

Looks WAY too wide when folded, so that's a fail. The whole purpose of a foldable is to make it smaller and more compact, but that thing still looks huge.

Wow ,looks like a power bank now . User has to compromise the size now , seems bit heavy and thick untill 2020 🤭

screens looks still awful (dents). Also: why fold it outside-around? Who wants an all around display rather than a foldable phone that hides all of the screen...waiting for that foldable razr design, may be my thing.

Of course it can be broken and scratched. I don't care what level of Gorilla Glass, or whatever they'll be using, they have on that phone it can be ruined. Now with a case or screen protector, you have a better chance of preventing that.

Also, I know it's the internet, but there's no need to be rude.

Since display most likely going to be a plastic screen. Also, the case would be like a folio case for laptops than back cases won't be necessary. It looks really beautiful and better than Samsung foldable phone ( remote control ) but let's wait and see how they will be in the real life...

"First iPhones were not that much expensive than flagships existed that time even with radically new OS, interface, ecosystem. "

So it would seem he think so...

I believe that foldable/rollable could bring a 'usage-revolution' in a similar way touch did, by merging what we know as phones/phablets/tablets today into one device.
