Samsung Galaxy S10+ hits GeekBench again, Exynos 9820 scores improving

04 February 2019
The multi-core result is now above 10,000, some 800pts more than the S10 we saw a couple of weeks ago.

AnonD-800802, 05 Feb 2019Lmfao a quick google search will do you some good..iOS in A... moreYou are the definition of a typical iPhone user who likes to show his little Apple everywhere you go. A better social status and better economically? Well yes because iPhone doesn't have low range phones. You speak like If Apple offers low end phones for people that barely use their phones or cant afford much, when it isn't the case. Of course I don't expect you to use common sense since you use Apple products. Most of the high end Android phones now days shits on the XS Max even, so I wouldn't brag if I were you, Android is a much more advanced OS and with more features. I have a Note 9 at the moment, and bought a XS Max for my sister because she is into that. Because I have an Android now Im poor? Like the guy below me said, I bet you are a fan of the Kardashians.

AnonD-800802, 05 Feb 2019Lmfao a quick google search will do you some good..iOS in A... moreDoesn't matter if it's the Xs, Xs Max or Xr Apply still reduced production of the latest and greatest sh!t phone because no one is buying them. I'm in no way a 'rich' person but I am well off and I choose the better OS (Android) even though I can get any Apple product I desire.
You are evidence of the stigma that owning Apple is a misconceived status symbol vs functionality. I bet you keep up with the kardashians and all sorts of shitty social media idiots because that's what your shallow friends do.
Wouldn't surprise me if in your in fact a derro.

The exynos 8890 definitely helps strong advantages. And so did others prior

Anonymous, 04 Feb 2019I totally agree with you. The sad thing is that everyone is... morePC Mark for Android is a much better benchmarking tool than AnTuTu or Geekbench. Just because the Exynos chip has a higher "top speed" doesn't mean it has an impressive "acceleration", in terms of cars. A faster car is the one with better braking, turning, acceleration, and then top-speed.

The last two-generations, Snapdragon has killed it's Exynos counterpart when it came to response time, burst performance, sustained performance, and overall efficiency. The one area where Exynos has been competitive or even out-competed the Snapdragon is in multicore/total performance, which is meaningless for almost all use cases, and unsustainable burst performance, which is detrimental to a mobile experience.... and that's before we even talk about the LTE efficiency and performance, and the GPU efficiency and performance, both important categories where Qualcomm further dominates.

I'm afraid that they will never stop playing catch up with the optimised Apple chips. They keep on trying but won't succeed.

Android is losing ground everywhere every year.

It’s already a known fact that iPhone users on average are in a much higher income bracket plus better social status. Obviously because majority of android users especially in emerging markets use entry to mid range phones.

Let’s not even deny that. The android equivalent of iPhones price wise represents a very small percentage of all android users. Even with reduced numbers the galaxy s lines can only dream of having the same numbers as the XS LMFAO.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2019LOL in rich countries, the strongest economies of the world... moreThings are changing. I am an iPhone user and from one of the countries you mentioned. I won't buy any iphone as my next phone. Another colleague of mine has decided the same. But I haven't heard the opposite. People in advanced world might not stop buying iphones but their sales will decrease, by huge margin.

The only thing left for exynos to do is surpass snapdragon in the gpu department. Probably won't happen this year but Samsung is getting closer.

Even tho i am huawei fan, this phone will be by far the best phone. It probably won't be as fast as Mate 20 Pro (even tho its chip is stronger), samsung's optimisation is not the best as we all know. This phone seems like it was made by aliens, not people.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2019LOL in rich countries, the strongest economies of the world... moreDude, check your facts. I'm from the west and a pretty great country but I sure as sh!t don't use iPhone and I never will. I won't go as far as a cheap chinese brand but Sony would be my second choice, then possibly Google but NEVER an iPhone.

Why are people comparing Kirin 980 with Exinos 9820? There is at least 6-7 months difference between them. Only Apple and Huawei release their new processors in September. Qualcomm and Samsung are behind a lot.
