Two equally-sized separate... moreDefinitely saying that 2 separate holes are nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as a simple well placed single / pill shape. 2 holes on both top corners would make it feel like the phone is watching you. Being in the center is even more ridiculous as it will interrupt the flow of the notification bar.
    I'm not saying that S10 holes are the proper implementation for an all screen phone but in theory and visually they are a far superior solution to this nonsense.

          Xiaomi has to design their patents in such a roundabout way so that they will not be in conflict with Huawei's similar patents which had already been granted earlier last year.

            Those patents are for self-protection only. The people running the company need to know where to place your patents strategically so that you have the freedom to develop your future products in the way you want. Most of such patents will never be used for real product development.

                  The purpose behind these patents is not to reserve the designs the company will implement in their next models, but rather to reserve any design they can think of, that other companies may want to implement. That way, if others want to implement these designs, they must pay up for using the patents. That's why these guys have 24 designs. It's basically blocking out competitors from using any design that could be good. (devolved into nasty tactics)

                    Why not just create a corner notch as it makes sense to house either 2 cameras seperately or use the other for other sensors.

                    If possible, why not get inspartion from the V20 design instead?

                                    What bothers me the most is that is not enough that one stupid company is doing stupid crap design,
                                    but all other companies blindly copy that trash without even thinking.

                                    As a customer you really have no choices these days, unless you wanna settle for older models/lesser hardware.

                                    Why can't we have a good old removable plastic back, 16/9 ratio display with big bezels and dual stereo speakers build it, and a physical home button ?
                                    This design was so so useful.

                                    Durable, easy to turn on the display and to reach the notifications without overstretching your finger, good for youtube and tv series (no black bars or cropped content) etc.

                                    Tell me a phone that still does this in 2019 please!
