You can see Korea and China sealed battery is stick inside the battery room which is not a great solution. They still use pin for retrieving simcard which is very annoying and not user friendly too. They making notch, waterdrop, punch hole to get a very minor increase to the sceen, and the hide unhide it as a little extra burden to the software development and increase the price. They cannot manage the LDAC code very well like Sony did.

I am concerned about its durability as it has a narrower body design and still has a fingerprint scanner at the middle right side. Maybe this 21:9 aspect ratio would be better for a foldable phone(flip phone).

Seems like a lot bashing on the bezels and the aspect ratio. I think the bezels it better then the notch, 21:9 definitely better than 18:9 because even if video actually follow this trend, it won't look as bad as the 18:9 video on 16:9 screen (which is the majority of device's screen). 18:9 just looks weird, black at bottom and top, but doesn't look cinematic like 21:9.

You wouldn't even notice the ever-so-slight forehead if you're watching a video already, but a cutout will be noticeable especially when watching a video that utilizes the phone's entire screen surface area.
Still gonna force your stupid screen cutout to be better than an uninterrupted small bezel design? Fine, but it's still inferior to basically havinng just a bezel, and that would remain as a fact for the coming years.

Yes! Finally someone did a 21-9 aspect ratio! Like LG did many years ago. No compan yis better to do this than Sony! With there movie business I hope they give all James Bond Films on there for free. Shame about the camera bezel again! Why!!!

Nobody cares about top bezel. When you make a phone call, your ear should rest on the earpiece comfortably. Similarly, when holding the phone in landscape mode there should be a space to hold on the edges. This phone does that like many other phones did in pre bezel-less era. Instead of questioning why this phone is different, people should be aware of their real needs. I wish more phone manufacturers released devices that were on small form factor like Z series Compact. Holding the >6 inch devices becoming such a pain in the rear.

Bezel on normal XA3 is about 104 mm which is nothing considering it packs a speaker and display driver.
Anyway would you believe me if I told you that new XA3 has less bezel area than both iPhone XS and iPhone XR?
