This is different. This is why people buy BMWs, Longines, etc etc. These days if you go out for a drink with your mates and you all leave your phones on the table, is just so boring cause you cannot distinguish one another. Yes, all that is personal opinion, so there you are, for those of you who wonder publicly, here's aother one who will buy this or the XZ4.

It looks cool BUT: Whenever I try using the phone in landscape mode it's a nightmare because there's almost nothing to hold on to. My fingers are always in the way, blocking the video, or having accidental touches, or pressing the 3D button too hard, or even the power button.
All of this because the bezels are too thin. And you're telling us that having no bezels is better.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that..

I'm kind of worried that the XA3 Ultra won't be as wide as the XA2 Ultra was. One great thing about it was that the screen was wider than a typical 6-inch screen, but this one looks like it's going to be only longer, not wider.

the upper bezel is due the front sensor size, this is the only way to avoid holes or notches that will be bigger that the pixel3 xl notch

That top bezel sure is a little too large, fortunately there isn't one at the bottom to make it symmetrical. It looks a little blocky and long as compared to something like their XPERIA XZ3 (well that's 21:9 aspect ratio for u right there), not sure if that top bezel's gonna help in pulling down notifications easier though. The SNAPDRAGON 660 sounds a little old to be honest, but still a decent chipset for mid-end smartphones, just that Sony have to be price both of these low enough to be competitive. But still, I'll give the w to Chinese brands in the case of low-end and mid-end segment of smartphones because of their competitive pricing

I havent used a selfie camera in like....uhm..3 years maybe?! Just get rid of any bezels and notches - or use the space for front speakers, those are useful.

In case you haven't noticed bezelless is the worst thing to happen to mobile phones in recent history. Creating the most fragile, most difficult to use (ergonomically) mobile phones is not moving, it's the definition of head strong and the highest form of ignorance. Sony was right about bezels all along, it's just that most people in the world today don't know the difference between right and wrong anymore.

LOL, 13 Feb 2019Half a year later, when (not if) the XA3 and XZ4 are not se... moreright, they really have bad marketing. it's sad to see that their sales are getting weaker. but as an xperia user, somehow it doesn't matter. it's just that, they shoud earn enough to stay. because if not, it will be hard looking for a brand like it.

It's good to see them keeping bezels but they are asking too much for the price Specs are a letdown

I think the XA3 Ultra should use a phone ring to enhance the handheld experience. The Notch-less and Hole-less Waterdrop-less is great, less bezel is best, straight line display is best both good for better software development and hardware design.
