It looks like iPhone when screen off lol and AFAIK ultrasonic fps can scan through glass and even metal according to Qualcomm

The solution is easy, don't use the screen protector and put your phone in a good case.

This is so pathetic. First one hole in a screen for camera and now this. This noth/hole trend will be gone sooner than 3d television, at least i hope so.

To me, the bigger problem than just aesthetics is the fact that dust/lint/grime is more likely to be caught in the border of the screen protector's cutout for the FPS. And with that being a spot right on the screen, it might be quite an eyesore.

It works more like conventional FP sensor so it is understandable.
This is a kind of issue that every phone with ultrasonic FP will face once launched in the near future.
I would, though like to see a solution to this issue ASAP other this new tech is not going to be successful.
To be honest, I think these new in-screen FPs are gimmicks because they only have more than solutions. A conventional FP is still the best and reliable security method.
