Samsungs foldable phone and the Nokia 9 camera are the most exitiing new things this year!
5G is pointless this year, but maybe next year!

personaly i wait for Nokia 9 and i am sure people would by it cause the next version supposed to be announced next 6 month and probably would be available in more than 8 month!
Also to SinrOne: if you buy any device you would get last year SoC cause they all has been announced in 2018!

Walter C. Dornez, 17 Feb 2019To be fair, hiding the notch still let's you keep the notif... moreRight, but it really looks hideous IMO.
It ruins the look of bezel symmetry. Imagine having a logo on a slim bezel; that's what hiding notch also does.
Add to the fact that most phones still have IPS LCD screens, which makes hiding notch basically useless in the dark.

AnonD-731363, 17 Feb 2019Haha very funy voting for most expensive and such bad brand... morereally?
samsung phones are average and other devices(with similar or even inferior ones) are top notch?
          sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much hate for samsung!
(I wont talk for sony cause never bought one but i had and still have samsung)

no such thing as exciting or not about it

In all honesty they should skip the Nokia 9 until they make SD855 variant.. No use to push out that phone especially when they cant bring the price down enough. No one buys the phone if they know better one comes out in 6 months and in 6 months.. People have bought Samsungs, Huaweis, Xiaomis and Sonys. I was really waiting for the Nokia 9, but why would I buy last years product, when I can get the latest Sony for a hundred to two hundred euros more. And yes, probably gonna skip Samsung because S10+ price might just get out of reach, I hope Sony wont do the same or they can say bye to their phone division.

The Nokia 9 is a superb concept. I just have a gut feeling that the implementation is going to be a complete d-u-d. I hope I am wrong.

Lyndino, 17 Feb 2019Samsung and Sony, the rest can stay in ChinaHaha very funy voting for most expensive and such bad brands.
Price doesnt means quality you know.
In present era chinese brands are a lot better than Samsung and Sony because for a much lower price they offer same quality phone.
Sony is like HTC it cant compete to anyone no matter what.
Here in my coutry i very rarely see someone with a Sony phone.
And for the Samsubng times when this brand was a status symbol are long time gone.
Now its just very exopensive brand which sells average phone for a 3-4 times higher price than its manufacture price.
Compared to most competition which for half the price can make equal quality phone.
Samsung will be no more king.
Time for Huawei and Xiaomi to fight for the first place.

                    I guess Nokia.
                    Why?
Because everyone else is releasing the same device they release last year, but inly slightly better.
Foldable phones are only concepts, not a real, useful device.

So ... Nokia ... plenty of lenses? Any software magic behind it?

Man these Nokia's nostalgia sheep sure are stubborn. Penta camera? Sure that is innovation. Next year six cameras will be.

Arif238, 17 Feb 2019What is the point of giving in the first place when you are... moreYes the notch has no practical use, it only holds a whole kinect in there. But I suppose you don't know what kinect is cause you don't know the use of notch.

Samsung and Sony, the rest can stay in China

Op7, rog phone 2, poco f2. 5g is worthless, because nsa is too greedy on the spying monopol.

Every year people market the s series as the best thing every when it's just the regular flagship

Samsung is catching up to the Triple cameras of p20 last year/mate mate 20 , reverse charging etc ive seen already

I'm more excited by rumors of the periscope 10x zoom for Chinese manufacturers and their plans at the end of the year

                              And the Nokia purview

In camera department samsung and sony are both interesting to see, but what I'm most excited about is cloud computing, AI and such. Wonder which company will progress the most.

Please give me a choice about nothing exciting this week. MWC 2019 is just boring with bunch of boring smartphone rumours.

Walter C. Dornez, 17 Feb 2019To be fair, hiding the notch still let's you keep the notif... moreWhat is the point of giving in the first place when you are going to hide it anyway? The problem is notch has no practical use and it ruins the overall look of the phone.
Its no fun watching videos or playing game in those cutouts and somebody will say you can hide that notch while watching videos then again why there is a notch in first place ruining the experience that user have to hide it. What is the purpose of a notch or punch hole it ruins the experience man.

Shanti Dope, 17 Feb 2019Right, because Sony is also a media content creator company... moreTo be fair, hiding the notch still let's you keep the notifications up there, so I wouldn't call it useless. I do have to agree with that Samsung comment though. Samsung makes fantastic products, but their fans need to calm down and see that their are other good phones that do stuff better than Samsung. For instance, it wasn't Samsung to introduce the IP rating to smartphones

Only thing not interesting me any longer is Samsung.
Rest in curious about, foldable Huawei phone most i think.
