Everyone's complaining about the lack of a headphone jack but, could it be safely implemented when the tablet is 5mm thick?

I want a Samsung Tablet on which I can do video and photo editing. Something to replace the desktop for video upto 4k and upto atleast 200mbps H254 and H265 (maybe even BRAW).

I hope Samsung create a 7000-9000mAh tablet with 16-32Gb of RAM and decent screen specifically (have one 19inch and one 12inch tablet, and limit the screen resolution to 1080p) for video and photo editing on the field. It could run on the Android platform. I also think Samsung should try and work with LumaFusion to create an Android or Samsung exclusive video editing platform. Samsung could cut corners where needed (only 2 speakers, LCD instead of AMOLED screen, average camera etc). And price them at $699 and $999

They could cur corners where they want.

            Snapdragon 8cx

If it has dex support I think I will buy it. Dex mode is a remedy for lack of big screen support in Android and something to compete with Ipads...

It's a fast mid-range chip. Second, if you were talking about older Samsung devices, you'd had a point, but Samsung's UI has come a long way and now is well optimized, balancing performance and power efficiency. Last, but not least, I think $400 is a bit overpriced, but give it a few months and it will be affordable. And I don't use headphones o tablets anyway, so I'll consider buying one to replace my old Tab S2 (SD652).

Quite a few uninformed comments about this tablet when these people clearly don't know much about tablet specs and pricing.

This is actually a well specced tablet at a reasonable price. If only Samsung would do the same with their phones.

Samsung should build a model with s-pen 🖊 support, the s pen is one of the most valuable accessories for any Samsung galaxy tab

Samsung often criticises Apple but they love copying Apple’s ideias. This looks like the iPad Pro 11

To "cut cost" for Tab S5e, the jack had to go which simply costs a few dollars. They could have removed fingerprint sensor instead. That is just removing choices. Seems that DJ Koh the CrA**le shi** CEO of Samsung mobile should be replaced by someone who value CHOICES & STANDARDS over "huge" profits in his pocket!!

So sad that Samsung has abandoned higher end Android tablets completely.
This is another throwaway, mid-level Android with too high asking price.
Give me any reason to buy this over the basic 10" iPad or the new upcoming iPad mini both of which will totally destroy the Samsung chips in performance.
                                  So sad, Samsung.

Apart from the OLED screen and the camera which noone is using in tablets, the 3 year old Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet still best this. It's even 7grams lighter!!

Such an under-estimated this Sony tablet was.
