LilSweetLin, 18 Feb 2019The LG V40 was just announced in October, now they're relea... moreAnother satisfied LG mobile customer, lol.

Surprised there isn't a formal "Former LG Mobile Owners Association" yet.

LilSweetLin, 18 Feb 2019The LG V40 was just announced in October, now they're relea... moreNah mate, they are removing a G series (most likely, tho rumors cannot be trusted until confirmed) and probably planning to put V up against S series coz V and G have everything in common now and just a minor differences. Just look at the Galaxy S10 and its variants, G8 cannot go against that. They are probably going to release a new series in october instead of V. Sadly, this years G and V are not offering anything new compared to last years models, but well, hope it will go better from the end of the year.

The LG V40 was just announced in October, now they're releasing the V50 in March? That's not even six months. Did LG intentionally release a crappy V40 so they could focus more on the V50 to be in competition with Samsung? Even though I LOVE the quad DAC, LG's radios were terrible on my V30, and the UI is still ugly. Until they get a proper theme store with as many customization options as Samsung, I'm not giving LG my money again.

[deleted post]Man if xiaomi would be low quality they wont be better in sakles than LG wake up.
        Price doesnt means quality.
Apple phones for example cost much over 1000 and every time new phones were released there are several bugs which needs to be fixed like charging problems etc.
LG never was top brand or in top 5. And it never will be.
In US they have like 12% market share in other markets is much less.
I can tell you if they close their mobile phone division noone will mourn for LG.

V50? Here, in Poland, LG started to sell V40 last week. As the book title says - "Now Wait for Last Year" :)

Seemingly, LG is pushing out phones faster, as V40 seems only a recent device.
Hopefully, the cameras on V50 will be much better then those in LG's past phones and to be more challenging to those from Google, Samsung, Apple and Huawei. I used to love the photos from my LG G3 long ago.

What irks me, is that it seems the manufacturers can put a proper battery in every 5g device, but not the same when they're 4g.

Meh, go to Japan now where they are already on 7G.

Sprint has garbage reception. I know a person with sprint, and they have to pay expensive roaming charges... in their own home... in a town of 55,000 people.

Andy, 16 Feb 2019And a 3100mah and $900 price tag battery no doubt. LG need ... moreThe price tag is stated below it’s about 1100 odd , so based on that I personally think it will flop.. even if it has 5G nice looking phone just with there update history it kinda not worth considering.
I mean iPhones get updated all together , and Sony is pretty quick with updates , Samsung has more overall features and isn’t super slow to updates and there’s the pixel with the fastest updates.
So unless it has more to offer then even if it has a slightly better dac you can just buy the g7 or lg30 which will cost like 1/4 off the price

Their camera performance for the past 3 - 4 years is rubbish compared to competitors. That's what entirely killed them off being a top 5 flagship seller

Andy, 16 Feb 2019And a 3100mah and $900 price tag battery no doubt. LG need ... morePlease note that it seems that V50 will have a 4000 mAh battery.
As far as I'm concerned, for the first time a G-series model will be more interesting than that of the V-series. V50 has much less changes over V40 than G8 over G7 has.
The zoom lens is welcome but far less useful than the wide lens and the bigger battery will mostly compensate for the larger screen. One thing is for sure, they both look solid handsets and one of them will be my next.

Hmmm phone looks interesting for maybe 500 bucks.
Othervise it will be dead on arrival by another flagship known as Poco 2.
Same goes ffor other manufacturers such as Sony or Samsung.

They do ALLLLLL that and cant get rid of the notch?

The V40 just came out not too long ago... This is why their mobile division isn't doing well.

That pricing is insane. Sorry but most will opt for the s10+ or note or something else at that price range.
And we dont even know if they finally upgraded to flagship grade sensors unlike the past two generations.

It's going to be a wonderful device. But that pricing could mean big trouble for them

Finally, a big battery, latest SoC & proper triple camera setup.

This thing has a lot of potential. Let's hope Lg does it right this time!
